I bought some this morning as it is on offer in tesco.

I've eaten half a jar of it already Blush

And then I looked at the calorie content Shock Shock

I've hidden the jar so DH won't know how much I have eaten Blush

For the record it tasted best with vanilla ice cream...

I bought it but I'm not impressed at all ... But it is dairy free so gets a bonus point from me.

NoMoreMarbles · 11/04/2014 13:45

HoldOnHoldOnSoldier · 11/04/2014 13:47

I bought some last week, Now my dc keep asking for 'hob nobs on toast' Hmm

BaronVonShush · 11/04/2014 17:13

some I am under no illusion why I am overweight and I am fully cognisant of the outcome of eating a pot of biscuit spread.

This was more embarrassed confession than gleeful announcement.

Won't be doing it again... Or maybe I will.

Love Lotus spread on a biscuit. My DP thinks it is absolutely disgusting.

On a slight aside, I picked up some Hazelnut Galaxy spread today from sainsburys. It was advertised as new and in a toothpaste type tube. Now, I love a Galaxy but I love it even more if it's melted so I was onto a winner here wasn't I? Err, no. It's horrible - really dry. I will stick to Nutella!

Somepercentagenotcool · 12/04/2014 10:29

I just think its quite amusing that people spend literally hundreds of posts on here (and elsewhere in real life) debating the reasons why people are so much fatter these days etc. when the real answer is staring everyone in the face!

ExitPursuedByABear · 12/04/2014 12:59

Odfod

rubyflipper · 12/04/2014 15:57

I have changed my mind. I had some of this on hot crumpets this morning. It was the loveliest thing I have eaten in some time.

Selks · 12/04/2014 16:00

It's nasty - claggy and tastes fatty. I binned most of my jar.
Mega unhealthy too - ground biscuits with extra fat and sugar added....

YourMaNoBraBackOfMyCar · 12/04/2014 16:46

I thought speculoos (sp?) was a gynaecological instrument. :o how much is this spread? I think I know what it tastes like in my head. If it tastes like that then I will love it. Oh and the sanctimonious "and we wonder why we're so fat yadda yadda yadda..." Posts happened much later than anticipated. Sweet.

Oh it's heaven in a jar.

Bought some last night from Sainsbobs and DP and I had eaten half the jar by the time we went to bed. I woke up this morning thinking about the damn crack spread and by 10am the jar was finished!

We ate it just with spoons and have vowed NEVER to buy it again. I don't know why I loved at as it left an oily film on my lips but it's all I can think about today! Blush

Seabright · 12/04/2014 20:01

I bought a jar for my DP today & told him "Mumsnet made me do it". He is a happy man.

Viviennemary · 12/04/2014 20:31

I've eaten over half the jar now. Since Thursday. Didn't like it that much at first but now not so sure. I feel I should like it so might have to try the cruncy rather than the smooth.

VivaLeBeaver · 12/04/2014 22:23

I got some today, its on offer in Tesco! Not tried it yet.

WitchWay · 12/04/2014 22:33

Urgh it sounds absolutely revolting - theres no way I'll be buying it!

VivaLeBeaver · 13/04/2014 11:17

OMG! I've opened it. Got the crunchy version and a spoon. I'm in heaven.

AmberLeaf · 13/04/2014 12:04

How much is it in tesco?

I think, for research purposes, I need to try some...

VivaLeBeaver · 13/04/2014 12:20

Think it was only £1.

AmberLeaf · 13/04/2014 13:54

Thanks.

BaronVonShush · 13/04/2014 17:49

It was 1.79 when I bought it.

I am glad it is no longer in my cupboard!
