I bought some this morning as it is on offer in tesco.

I've eaten half a jar of it already Blush

And then I looked at the calorie content Shock Shock

I've hidden the jar so DH won't know how much I have eaten Blush

For the record it tasted best with vanilla ice cream...

Well i got majorly excited when i received the email about said thread the other day because at our baby group when they bring out tea/coffee they also bring out these individually wrapped little biscuits that i had never had before...oh my lord, delicious is not the word! I couldn't hide the pleasure on my face let alone the fact i nearly ate the whole tub Blush and then to find they have created a spread form of said biscuits, i must try this!!!

PortofinoRevisited · 09/04/2014 18:33

Oh you always get them here with coffee Trujay.

Hoofdegebouw · 09/04/2014 18:46

Lotus I don't like so much. I'm clearly a biscuit spread brand snob, which is a tad worrying.

BaronVonShush · 09/04/2014 19:09

Oh dear lord, it really does have crack in it.

I have eaten the whole pot. WTF is wrong with me? Oh, I know, I am a pig.

I am NEVER buying that again.

portofino u lucky bugger!

i really enjoy baby group even more so now they serve these heavenly biscuits that i DO NOT try to think up ways of smuggling them into the nappy bag and home

So...is the spread stocked at all major supermarkets then? I'm not sat in the car, key in ignition (promise)

BaronVonShush · 09/04/2014 19:45

Used to just be waitrose and now tescos deffo have it. Haven't seen it in morrisons or saino's.

I tho I that jar I ate must be the equivalent of about 3 packets of biscuits. Blush

Crumpets! Ds 23 was dancing around the kitchen at his cleverness. He is like a stick mind. (That's age 23 btw, not my 23rd)

coffeeinbed · 09/04/2014 19:49

No..
It's somehow floury.
Tried it, very underwhelmed.

TheGrassIsSinging · 09/04/2014 19:51

I caved in and got it as an Amazon add-on. It was meh. Yeah, sure, I ate the whope jar woth a spoon in bed over two nights. But it wasnt THAT nice Grin.

Bonne Maman Dulce Leche is better...

TheGrassIsSinging · 09/04/2014 19:51

*whole jar

Ev1lEdna · 09/04/2014 19:53

I haven't tried it. I can't get over the blog post that likened it to dribbled rusk shudder

PollyCazaletWannabe · 09/04/2014 19:58

I love it! It's really nice spread thinly under peanut butter on toast. Also quite nice as a dip for bananas and strawberries- and of course, the fruit makes the spread calorie free Grin

WhispersOfWickedness · 09/04/2014 20:03

It is AMAZING on hot cross buns Grin
DH came home with a jar of both smooth and crunchy last week after the MN thread, we're still on the smooth jar, not opened the crunchy jar yet

Cataline · 09/04/2014 20:05

I have also just returned from Belgium and was delighted to discover individual pots of crack paste on the breakfast buffet. I steered clear of the chocolate sprinkles as that would have been overkill although clearly, 3 slices of bread with crack paste plus 3 pots stashed in bag for consumption throughout the day was not Grin

Birdinthebush · 09/04/2014 20:15

I love it, but beware spreading it on hot crumpets as it goes all the way through leaving more on the plate than on the crumpet and you have to lick the plate

TruJay · 09/04/2014 21:46

birdinthebush yes, I'm sure u HAVE to Wink

Is it gluten-free? < hopes against hope emoticon>

diddl · 10/04/2014 15:01

Here's the ingredients, Uri, so I'm guessing not gluten free-

"ingredients: Original Caramelised Biscuit (57%) (Wheat Flour, Sugar, Vegetable Oils (contains one or more of soy bean oil, sunflower oil, palm oil), Brown Sugar, Leavening (sodium bicarbonate), Soy Flour, Salt, Cinnamon), Canola Oil, Sugar, Emulsifier (soy lecithin), Citric Acid.

Information for allergy sufferers: contains wheat & soya."

UriGeller · 10/04/2014 15:05

Oh crap.
