I really struggle with day dresses. Can do evening no problem, plonk some heels on and I'm good to go.

YANBU - 90% of my clothes are dresses - smart, casual, whatever, dresses are almost always the answer.

No idea how I'm going to cope with breastfeeding though (other than buy a shed load of BF dresses!)

Just found this as I was looking for dress advice!
Last summer on holiday abroad I observed that the most stylish ladies of all ages and sizes were wearing simple straight knee length shift dresses with sandals and beautiful necklaces. Well in my opinion anyway. For day and night wear.
I have lost a bit of weight and want to be elegant this summer but not fussily dresses. I am only 5'2 a bit top heavy, narrow hips but absolutely no waist, it is hugely out of proportion. I also find that anything with a waist is no good as I am short from neck to waist.
Any good ideas about shops that that sell lovely summer dresses that I might not have tried ( ie not m and s, debenhams, tkmaxx, ) any good online stores?

I love wearing dresses as they are comfy, cool, pretty and easy to wear. Ohh, did I mention they are comfy

I wear wedges or flats. I can't do heels unless I am going out somewhere special.
