aibu to think that I could front a campaign for clinique? I need the money, and considering that I manage do a better job of selling their products than the clinique salesladies, surely I should be able to make some moeny by modelling for them.

Do zombies get wrinkles then? Confused

grannytomine · 06/03/2017 10:14

I meant I don't have wrinkles on my face, they have all gathered together and are holding my neck hostage.

JazzFunk · 06/03/2017 10:16

I'm mid forties Sad.... but don't have any wrinkles (unless I smile), and I use any old shit on my face and always have done Smile.

I'm also slimmer and fitter than I probably ever have been - DH says I have the best arse he's ever seen.

What is the point of this thread btw? Grin

JazzFunk · 06/03/2017 10:18

patty have you had lip fillers?

tigerrun · 06/03/2017 10:21

ZOMBIE THREAD*

(would love to know whether all these slightly smug people STILL don't have wrinkles though ;) ).

MsHooliesCardigan · 06/03/2017 10:23

I know it's a Zombie but I find this thread a bit 'off'. I doubt you'd get a load of men posting on a website about their lack of wrinkles and how they're 56 but got asked for ID when buying a bottle of wine last week. Because men are allowed to have wrinkles and look distinguished but once women get them, it's Game Over.
It's like a thread where posters all sit around talking about how beautifully slim they are. I have a shed load of wrinkles laughter lines but have quite nice hair so am off to start a thread about it.

52 Nearly, no wrinkles, forehead as smooth as, no laughter lines despite laughing a lot.

I do have really dry, itchy eczema prone skin

cowgirlsareforever · 06/03/2017 10:32

Bloody hell MissHooley We are constantly made to feel crap about getting older so what the hell is wrong with a few women feeling rather pleased with themselves that they are wrinkle-free Confused

BitOutOfPractice · 06/03/2017 10:36

Yes, it was all quite light hearted

yerbutnobut · 06/03/2017 11:42

My DM is 61 and has very few, great complexion for her age.

user1465741111 · 06/03/2017 11:50

Im 43 and have no wrinkles and I use Lidl Q10 £1.69 face cream, refuse to pay Clinique prices Grin

SleepFreeZone · 06/03/2017 12:00

But just maybe some of the posters posting about their beautiful skin feel a bit shit about something else? I don't have bingo wings because I spent most of my adult life working in a profession that required me to work physically, mainly with my upper arms and shoulders. Thus that area of my body is pretty nice, rest of it is not so great 😁

flipflap75 · 06/03/2017 12:02

Just for those asking about Botox, I tried it last year in an attempt to kill the crows' feet and fine lines under my eyes.

Big mistake for me. The crows' feet disappeared (great) and the fine lines immediately under my eyes to a lesser extent, but the drawback was that with all that skin immobile, the area a couple of cms below my eyes looked horribly baggy and crepey every time I smiled. It was bizarre...like someone had glued the skin immediately around my eyes to my skull, with all the surrounding area taking on all the movement.

Never, never again.

grannytomine · 06/03/2017 12:15

Someone is being a bit grumpy. What's wrong with having a bit of a laugh about wrinkles or scraggy necks or bingo wings? If people don't like a discussion why do they feel the need to take part.

MsHooliesCardigan · 06/03/2017 12:48

Ok apologies for being grumpy, definitely got out of the wrong side of bed today which wasn't helped by a pigeon doing a massive plop on my head as I was en route to work.

BitOutOfPractice · 06/03/2017 12:58

Oh crikey missHoolie. I'm not surprised you had the grump. I can never imagine why that would ever be considered good luck

OmaDesala · 06/03/2017 13:01

I am 47 and I don't have any wrinkles either, but then I am chubby size 14, and am on HRT, never smoked. Grin

MsHooliesCardigan · 06/03/2017 13:09

Thanks BitOut and the thing was I couldn't go home to wash it out as I had to be at a meeting for 9.15 on pain of death so I spent 10 minutes in the loo at work trying to brush/scrape it out whilst getting all sorts of funny looks. Please take no notice of me - discuss your wrinkles/lack of them to your hearts' content.
I actually genuinely recommend Protect and Perfect serum from Boots. There was a Horizon programme about it a few years where lots of creams were tested under proper scientific conditions and they concluded that this one was definitely the most effective.

JonesyAndTheSalad · 06/03/2017 13:10

44 here...also no wrinkles. Got big hips though!

ExConstance · 06/03/2017 13:15

My mother and I have both used Clinique for 35 years and have really good skin, I'm 60 and have only the merest of crows feet, she is 90 and has little more. When DM was admitted to hospital after a fall she was even asked in A & E what she did to have such great skin.

BitOutOfPractice · 06/03/2017 13:18

Oh you poor thing. Not nice. It's probably good for your skin though Wink

BreconBeBuggered · 06/03/2017 13:22

Never used Clinique in my life and look a good 15 years younger than my age in the bathroom mirror over the basin. The mirror on the opposite wall, however, has the light hitting it at a whole different angle and it's a treacherous bastard.

Sallystyle · 06/03/2017 13:23

You have to be a special kind of vain to bump an old thread with a photo of yourself.

MaisieDotes · 06/03/2017 13:23

I've acquired some wrinkles since this thread was started, thanks to 2yo and 1yo DSs.

Also thanks to them, I no longer have the energy to give a shit.
