aibu to think that I could front a campaign for clinique? I need the money, and considering that I manage do a better job of selling their products than the clinique salesladies, surely I should be able to make some moeny by modelling for them.

Mrs Ruffallo you said exactly what I was going to say!!

Bet you're not as old as me though. Nobody is

ElleBellyBeeblebrox · 31/03/2014 19:12

My eyebrows are particularly unruly today

AndIFeedEmGunpowder · 31/03/2014 19:12

It's a conundrum isn't it? Pre- 35 fat face baaddddd post 35 fat face gooood.

Not saying you all have fat faces or are over 35, have just been dwelling on this recently.

I spent my twenties hating my fat face, and now it has gone I miss it. Pah! Clinique fronting opportunities SQUANDERED!

thornrose · 31/03/2014 19:13

We need a photo Grin

ElleBellyBeeblebrox · 31/03/2014 19:13

Oh yes thorn photo evidence needed!

Ponkypink · 31/03/2014 19:13

I'm 35 and look like shite warmed over, perhaps I can be the 'before' picture.

wonderingsoul · 31/03/2014 19:14

When you look in a mirror, it bounces back an even, flattering light that minimises shadows and contrast. You aren't seeing yourself in harsh light from an angle, which will show up wrinkles and flaws in an unforgiving manner. Other people are seeing you like that.

ahh man... i hate looking in the mirror at the best of times... but now every time i work up the courage ill have this playing in my head.
awesome! Sad Grin

thornrose · 31/03/2014 19:15

Elle I misread your post and thought you said massive cock Shock

thornrose · 31/03/2014 19:16

Damn, the camera never lies but apparently the bloody mirror does!

mouldyironingboard · 31/03/2014 19:16

I'm in my fifties and have no wrinkles with lovely smooth skin - until I put my glasses on! Smile

AndIFeedEmGunpowder · 31/03/2014 19:17

Wonderingsoul was just going to say the same thing! I had the deluded impression that the mirror version was worse than real life.

growingolddicustingly · 31/03/2014 19:17

Amateurs the lot of you. I am 58 and have very few wrinkles (and purple hair). This is in NO WAY connected to the fact that I am so fat I haven't seen my foof in years. Am off to sign a contract with Clinique.

thebody · 31/03/2014 19:18

I look best in candlelight. I was born far far too late.

see in Jane Austen's time you could be as fat as a fool in those empire line frocks.

actually wouldn't it be great to be able to go back then but with all your makeup!! you would look fucking sensational.

move over Lizzie Bennett.

Littlefish · 31/03/2014 19:18

I'm 46 and don't have any wrinkles. Smile

ElleBellyBeeblebrox · 31/03/2014 19:20

thorn Grin

RiverTam · 31/03/2014 19:21

I'm 42 and don't have wrinkles - can I be an ad for Superdrug?

I just have very oily skin, which is a bore most of the time, to be honest.

ALMOSTMRSG · 31/03/2014 19:24

My mum is 75, she only has a little bit of grey hair round her hairline. The rest of her hair is still dark brown.

Nevertell · 31/03/2014 19:30

My father had no wrinkles in his seventies.
He also had very nice hair and good teeth, and people didn't believe his actual age.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 31/03/2014 19:30

mrsruffalo there is a bright side to being fat Grin

formerbabe · 31/03/2014 19:30

Best thing you can do for your skin... don't smoke!

cardibach · 31/03/2014 19:31

I am49 and have a very few small wrinkles round my eyes and none anywhere else. People routinely guess my age at 10+ years less. Yes, fat face strikes again. Also fat body. Nobody would want me as a model, but I am an impressive example of how you can be well preserved without having to live a good, clean lifestyle!

CassCade · 31/03/2014 19:36

I can drive really well. Do you think I could get a job with Ferrari? Grin

Sorry, OP, just teasing... But unless they are employing the general public as worldwide-advertising campaign models, your post is really quite odd! Let me know if you get a contract with Clinique, though. I'll take you out for a drive. ;)

Ledkr · 31/03/2014 19:36

What do you mean by wrinkles? I have marionette lines and crepey under eyes but no actual wrinkles.
Skin tone has changed tho and its a bit uneven in colour but do you know what? I feel pretty good.
I could lose a bit if weight and be less tired looking but this body has grown and raised five human beings and I've lived over half my life, I'm fucking proud of myself Grin
Have to say if I get chin hairs ill jump off a bridge though

Fortysomethingwinelover · 31/03/2014 19:45

I'm mid forties and have no wrinkles. Botox and fillers are fucking fantastic Wink
