to think a 'hide poster' option would be helpful

Particularly in 'support' sections of the site, such as Relationships and
Parenting.

I'm disheartened to see supportive and helpful threads (mine and others) highjacked by a few bad eggs who offer nothing but spiteful diggs. I've seen a lot of OPs abandon helpful threads because of one or two people who comment just to tear down an OP who is already on her knees.

Hide Poster option please MNHQ. This would enable you to block a certain poster's comments from your view, but other people can still see them.

OP posts:

We'll then there a re royal bullies too.

Royal? What, like Kate or Zara?

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 30/03/2014 18:26

OP... I can see that you've posted this because of your thread on relationships board. You've had some really good advice there along with some other questions that you didn't like. One poster has had a few of their posts deleted there - his/her other posts stood. Those weren't abusive to you but I can understand that they were uncomfortable reading.

I don't agree that we need a 'hide poster' button, you can ignore the posts/posters you don't want to read.

What you can't do, is post a thread and expect everyone to dance to your tune... not unless you start your own chatboard and don't allow anybody in. That might work.

Isn't chavvy the new classy? Confused

Kate is not a Royal Bully, but she is royally chavvy.

I do like talking to myself in RL: at least I know somebody is listening and agrees. So maybe a chatboard for me alone is a Really Good Idea.
