I'm taking about 10 mins to get a line but there is a definite line. Th others are negative though. Really odd. I shall pick up a first response today.im using amazon cheapies - though heard these are reliable ...

Also take no notice of the test results after the allotted time!

Odaat · 25/03/2014 15:09

I'm off to docs to get answers! Reckon ill get a negative if they test me at this time ... But shall see. This aft I slept and felt really ill, headache and congestion. Hmm...

Can you post photos? Remember ovulation and implantation is different for everyone, so even if their cycles are the same length, there could still be a difference in pregnancy of a a few days which is a lot at this stage. Keep testing :)

DownstairsMixUp · 25/03/2014 16:05

Ooh interested to hear how this turns out! With DS I didn't get a BFP till after my period was due. I'm 17 weeks at the moment and don't know the sex but got a positive 3 days before AF (and it was strong!) be interesting to see if the theory is true!

Odaat · 25/03/2014 18:42

I am pregnant according to the doc! I told him I have had negatives and positives. He said if i have had just one positive; I am pregnant!
He booked me in for midwife next month. I am in shock now!
I came home and did a clear blue digital and it said 'not pregnant'! It was late on in day and I have heard these are not very sensitive. But now I am thinking WTF!? My mare swears clear blue are 200% the best though?
I am happy, but just still feeling the frustration at some being negative! Argh!!

Theirs are very sensitive.

Congratulations!!

Odaat · 25/03/2014 19:15

slithytove · 25/03/2014 20:53

That's brilliant, congrats again

Odaat · 25/03/2014 20:57

Thanks! :) it is odd why i have had so many negatives too. But after this thread, i can see it is rahmther common. Thanks everyone!

yummystepford · 26/03/2014 13:52

I had lots of negatives and my oh also thought I was imagining it. I'm 29 weeks and it's a boy. Ds1 and ds2 the tests came up with a dark positive before I had even finished lifting the stick away!

Odaat · 26/03/2014 14:49

It's horrible though isn't it! Even today i am questioning it as have had positives and negatives again!! I must stop testing :/

OP posts:
RoundNRoundN · 26/03/2014 14:59

I dont want to widdle on your whiskers, but its very possible to get a flase positive on internet cheapies.

It would have come up as a nice positive on a First Response test by now though, so they are the ticket.

Have you got one?

Odaat · 26/03/2014 15:16

Really!? I thought the IC were reliable? I have a first response one but i want to do it in the morn as its very late on in the afternoon and worried i will get a false negative! If I do it in the morn fingers x I get a positive on one of those :)

OP posts:
RoundNRoundN · 26/03/2014 15:22

No. Unfortunately they are reknowned for 'evaps'

If you did the first response it would work now if you were due today/yesterday. Its very very likely to work.

Its pretty excellent at working days and days before AF and also doesnt require the 'first morning urine' like some tests might.

Odaat · 26/03/2014 15:37

Oh god its a negative on the first response!? What the hell?? Shall I retest in morn with a first response too?? The IC one has pink in the test line though, surely annoy be an evap. Argh im in limbo now :(

OP posts:
RoundNRoundN · 26/03/2014 15:44

Oh mate. Sad

I had the exact same thing happen to me.

Im so sorry. Those bastard internet cheapies cause untold amounts of heart ache.

Im future, use them as a guide but always rely on a First Response for confirmation.

Odaat · 26/03/2014 15:47

But I had a positive on another brand too -?? Argh!!!

OP posts:
SonorousBip · 26/03/2014 15:49

I had the double whammy of a negative and light bleeding immediately before going on holiday, which I assumed was pretty conclusive. Went on holiday and did all manner of unapproved things (including smoking a cigar for some bizarre reason Hmm - I was so excited to be in a fancy hotel with its own "cigar room" Smile), drinking wine at lunchtime and in the evening, yadda yadda.

That false negative is now 12 and currently sending me texts about how it is entirely possible to do 40 mins French homework on a 20 min bus ride.

Boy - interesting theory.

RoundNRoundN · 26/03/2014 15:49

Which brand? If it was clear blue, you cant trust those either.

It wasnt CB was it?

Either way, First Response is definitely the most reliable.
