I think you have to be six months post-birth?
You need to get yourself back to normal first.

Mine is booked for April and my much wanted O neg DH is finally allowed to donate as he is now two years post the weird vaccinations the Army gave him, so he's booked in too.

I donate after pregnancy you have to wait for however many weeks you were pregnant so if you gave birth at 39 weeks that's how long you would have to wait.

I'm in wales where there's a huge shortage so will be donating next week

Was a regular donor. Been turned down since dd was born. Now they no longer come to work and I can't get to evenings (no one to babysit, DH away in week). Work too far from walk in centre to get there and back in lunchtime!

Sadly I'm banned as my hg is too low.

Used to donate, think I'm allowed to again now as Dd is 8 months. However, DH tried in the last month on his way back from work (they had sent a letter) and they turned him away!

Around here they keep moving sessions, times, locations which makes it very difficult to donate (esp with three DCs in tow). Appointment times are not kept which means you have a very long wait..

So, for now, we have given up. Would like to get back to it as it's a good thing to do and I like biscuits.

Love it! Thank you for the reminder. You prompted me to look up my next appointment! I started donating after the hospital started keeping some back for me in the last 6 weeks of pregnancy as it looked like something could go wrong. Fortunately it didn't. Now, not only do I feel like I'm giving back but I also have a great time escaping the kids, reading a good book and getting tea and biscuits, everyone'S a winner! :)

I donated for the first time on Wednesday and now know to drink a LOT of water first! All good, no pain, fast in and out and really should have done it years ago.
