To have smashed an egg on his windscreen

lollipoppi · 11/03/2014 19:48

Ok, so I know IABU and it was a spur of the moment childish thing to do but ........

Upon leaving the supermarket with a 1yo and 3yo in tow, I get to my car to find a man struggling to get out of his van because he has parked so close to my car.

I politely pointed out that if he is struggling then how am I expected to get my 3yo into his car seat when I cannot open my door.
His response was "it's not my problem"
Me : well it's now my problem because your an incompetent arse
Him: fuck off you stuck up btch, and walked off with his mate laughing

Whilst my 3yo was climbing over my 1yo to get to his car seat, I unloaded the shopping and came across the eggs.

I splatted one on his windscreen and bombed it

Very immature of me I know, but I think he deserved it!

So you then think it's justifiable to take the law into your own hands?

Well if I caught someone breaking into my car for example then I certainly wouldn't be calling the police and I doubt the scrote would either to be honest. I actually know someone who kicked the shit out of some scrote who he caught nicking his stereo. The police turned up mid beating, turned a blind eye to it and hauled the scrote off. That's common sense policing in my book!

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 12/03/2014 10:35

I bet batman drive a very big van.

Cigarettesandsmirnoff · 12/03/2014 10:35

op you didn't just ask him to move his car.

You approached the situation with attitude, you received it back.

why would you instigate an argument when have two kids with you? You actually lucky he wasn't an even bigger arsehole and say/do something worse.

LoonvanBoon · 12/03/2014 10:35

Bartman, perhaps you'd like to provide us with details of your car? Just in case any of us are in your neck of the woods, we could - er - look out for it & make sure it doesn't get vandalised or anything. Smile

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 12/03/2014 10:37

Hang on. So the OP is unreasonable and a variety of other choice words because she reacted to someone else's incredibly rude behaviour by cracking an egg on his windscreen. But if the driver had come back and beat the shit out of her, reacting to her rude behaviour and incredibly low level vandalism, that would OK? Am I understanding your obnoxious posts correctly?

Bartman · 12/03/2014 10:37

Bartman "general scumbags" like the man who stood and laughed at me and told me to fuk off because I asked him to move his car?*

You started the aggression by the sounds of it!

Cigarettesandsmirnoff · 12/03/2014 10:39

She did bartman

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 12/03/2014 10:39

I politely pointed out that if he is struggling then how am I expected to get my 3yo into his car seat when I cannot open my door.
His response was "it's not my problem"

He started it. She politely asked him to move, he was a twat.

ZingSweetMango · 12/03/2014 10:40

Bartman definitely drives a Bartmobil.

I'm sure of it.

BuzzardBird · 12/03/2014 10:41

YABU! Everyone knows van drivers like a full English breakfast...where was the sausage and bacon? Tut!

MeepMeepVrooom · 12/03/2014 10:43

Bloody hell, you'd think she took her keys along his car. It was an egg.

Your example bartman is ridiculous. There was no damage, no theft. The mess left would be little more than a bird shitting on your car.

gertiegusset · 12/03/2014 10:45

Whether the man was an inconsiderate, rude fool or not, you just can't go around vandalising other people's property, and I would have gone back into the store to see if the CCTV had recorded anything if I came back to my car and found that after an altercation.
I remember reading about someone going back to their open top car at a local supermarket that was next to a leisure centre and some bastard had chucked a load of milk over the inside.
The perpetrators were caught.

I'm rubbish at remembering makes and stuff about cars but lots of men aren't, DP included, I hope that man doesn't remember yours.

Bartman · 12/03/2014 10:46

She didbartman

And she then escalated it from a verbal altercation to a physical one?

gertiegusset · 12/03/2014 10:46

Actually, eggs do damage paint work.

MeepMeepVrooom · 12/03/2014 10:48

Ah well, I never knew that.

Still can't muster up any sympathy for the guy tbh.

SirChenjin · 12/03/2014 10:48

Bartman definitely drives a big van - that much is obvious Grin

Thanquol · 12/03/2014 10:48

Having had eggs thrown at my house in the past, I can say that once they dry they are a nightmare to remove from glass...

formerbabe · 12/03/2014 10:49

Oh OK, you're right, the van driver cunt should have come out, kicked her head in and then the police should have rocked up and arrested her for criminal damage and turned a blind eye to him.

Yep, that's definitely what should have happened.

Ffs!

It's an egg!!

SirChenjin · 12/03/2014 10:49

You need a glass cloth from Aldi - 99p for 2. You just wet them and wipe - gets rid of egg (and everything else) from windows.

gertiegusset · 12/03/2014 10:50

Yes Thanquoi, have had that problem myself, Halloween is a drag, that's partly why some retailers don't sell eggs and flour to teenagers around then.

You have this problem a lot then SirChenjin? Confused

wowfudge · 12/03/2014 10:57

You can use full fat coke to get egg off glass - works like a dream. I googled what to do when some kids had thrown eggs at a stack of cars in a car park I happened to have parked in. If it gets on the paintwork, use coke and then rinse immediately with water so as to protect the paintwork.

mistlethrush · 12/03/2014 10:58

Someone lobbed an egg at my car in passing (from moving car) just because they could... It shattered at the top of the windscreen and took of small bits of the paint at the same time. That was very annoying and quite costly.

sherazade · 12/03/2014 11:01

if you're looking for praise and giggles, you're not going to get it from me.
childish and irresponsible. and a bad example to your toddler.
