When I said the queen could sod off I meant it metaphorically. Sorry ma'am.

Now you've opened it OP you may as we'll try it! Is it like that caffeine shampoo that the Germans love for some reason?

MsLT · 31/01/2014 20:21

It will be from QVC TV shop. Probably cost £59.99 a bottle with £7.95 P&P. Your poor out of pocket neighbours. :(

PeriodFeatures · 31/01/2014 20:22

Its quite possible. I know someone who went to prison for smuggling drugs in shampoo.

Sparklingbrook · 31/01/2014 20:22

Exactly Antlers. It's like those Border Control Customs programmes. You need to get a stanley knife and carefully slit the bottle open and get the drugs out.

Tallforadwarf · 31/01/2014 20:24

MsLT, the poor dead bald neighbours. Sad

MamaPain · 31/01/2014 20:25

Decant it into mini bottles you can post through the door individually.

TheWitTank · 31/01/2014 20:25

I don't think the medication part was serious somehow curlew :)
The OP didn't take in a parcel...she took a parcel unasked from under a doormat. Neither the postman or neighbour asked her to do this. I don't doubt OP did this with good intentions, but if you have sent notes and knocked with no response, just put it back! It's really not hard. You can't just make up your own rules and decide to keep the parcel you took unasked from someone's doorstep.
I don't think the OP ever had any intention of not opening it.

PeriodFeatures · 31/01/2014 20:26

Good Idea sparkling. However, in about three days couple of blokes (think the cousins in breAKIng bad) are going to be knocking on the door, Its a fucking set up if you ask me. nak

Sparklingbrook · 31/01/2014 20:26

Thanks for Rose's poor dead, bald neighbours. Sad

MrsWedgeAntilles · 31/01/2014 20:27

OP, really just send it back. You can't give it to your neighbours without them knowing its been opened.

This happened a long long time ago with me and some hairdressers. A courier company left a parcel for me at a nearby hairdresser, they opened it and resealed it but I could see that's what they had done. When I went to the shop to get it they were handling the parcel and talking about keeping it.Angry The sender was a friend and even now, every now and again, when we are drunk we mutter darkly about the hairdressing thieves. Do you want that from a neighbour?

Sparklingbrook · 31/01/2014 20:28

What was in your parcel MrsW? Sad

MsLT · 31/01/2014 20:28

Wine To the poor, bald , dead neighbours.

MsLT · 31/01/2014 20:30

I really hope they are ok really Shock

lalouche · 31/01/2014 20:31

If you knocked 29 times at 10am when they were at work, or 7pm when they are at work, that is not strenuous attempts to return the parcel! Tape a note to their door fgs.

Sparklingbrook · 31/01/2014 20:31

I am sure they are. It may have been a free sample even.

Sparklingbrook · 31/01/2014 20:32

Alternatively tape the parcel to the door.

MrsWedgeAntilles · 31/01/2014 20:34

I don't want to say, Sparkling. It wasn't in any way dodgy but I made a proper enormous fuss about it at the time so if you know me in RL you'll know who I am here and I love being Mrs Wedge.

flatbellyfella · 31/01/2014 20:35

Call the police to report that your balding neighbour, Mr or Mrs BlaBla, ( name on parcel) has not been seen or heard of since Christmas & you are concerned about their welfare .

RoseRedder · 31/01/2014 20:35

well kind of delivey delverer
thinks hiding a parcel under a doormat will make it invisible?

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 31/01/2014 20:36

No prob MrsW. Glad you got your parcel back from the thieving hairdressers though.. Smile

PixelMum · 31/01/2014 20:37

You took it incase of theft?
You took it and now want to keep it?

Have you not seen your neighbours in almost a month?
Try knocking on their door again
Otherwise, return to sender.
