To have had a go at a woman

Who had for older children with her, one of whom bashed a loo door into ds 2s head..... She didn't do anything, but then very shallowly said sorry and looked the other way. Ds was in fits of tears. She seemed very unconcerned. I called her on it and said, you dont seem very concerned. she said I have said sorry and I am watching for kids (in the loo). Her attitude was bad! WIBU to have a go at her? I am normally a mind your own business kind of person!

Alis, you're exactly right, it was that 'bothered' tone exactly, hard to describe on the Internet.

Meditrina, it definitely did open that way...... There was another outside fire done I think.

bordello - did you not see my very first post? And in fact my others were in your defence ?! So yeah, thanks for that mate !! Hmm

PistolAnnies · 18/01/2014 19:53

P.S. I keep seeing the word 'troll'

Can somebody please enlighten me as to what it means on here ?!

Pagwatch · 18/01/2014 19:53

Oh OP, I would hide this now.
I don't think you can tell when people are supporting you - you should leave it and forget about it.

Let the women who take their child being whacked by anither child flying through a door as part and parcel of an average day, chat amongst themselves.

Littlefish · 18/01/2014 19:54

Bordello - you have completely misread Pistols' postings. She was defending you against other posters!

Goldenbear · 18/01/2014 19:58

YANBU, I have a just over 6.5 year old and a 2.8 year old but I have never seen my older child hurtle himself through a public door as I have taught him to have some self-control! It sounds more like carelessness on the entering child's behalf than an 'accident' per se and the Mother should've shown more concern for that to prevent her child doing this in the future. When accidents can be prevented or the damage limited responsible parents make their child aware of that. We shouldn't just minimise with pathetic apologies as 'accidents' can have serious consequences.

bordellosboheme · 18/01/2014 20:00

Former Babe that was exactly the kind of woman. Not excusing my behaviour calling her on it, but she looked almost pleased about it.... The children with her were about 10 or 11 so they didn't need much watching. We were in a child friendly holiday resort with the restaurant immediately adjacent. The same boy almost knocked me in the head in the video bother by swinging a wooden window shutter open.... He just didn't seem very spatially aware..... I know they are just kids, but a concerned comment or two wouldn't have gone amiss.

Video "bothy"

bordellosboheme · 18/01/2014 20:01

Concerned comment from their guardian I mean

formerbabe · 18/01/2014 20:02

There is a massive difference between a genuine apology and someone who says sorry because they feel everyone expects it.

Hence why I gave a mouthful to the bitch who trod on my baby. If she had been genuinely concerned and apologetic, then I would have been polite to her.

bordellosboheme · 18/01/2014 20:02

Sorry if I have pistol.... I was feeling a bit attacked on here! I will reread!

OP posts:
PistolAnnies · 18/01/2014 20:04

I'm out! Support totally unappreciated, which has now slightly changed my opinion actually in thinking that the story may not actually have happened the way it was posted hmmm Sad

bordellosboheme · 18/01/2014 20:07

Really sorry pistol...... I'm knackered and read your posts wrong. Apologies!!!!

OP posts:
bordellosboheme · 18/01/2014 20:07

I read your name against a different post. My mistake. Come back pistol Thanks

HaroldLloyd · 18/01/2014 20:09

What a bloody strange thread.

OP I know what you mean by not apologising properly, she might have just been really distracted or just a bit rude.

I generally don't get involved in arguments over things like this as when you are dealing with complete strangers you just don't know how they are going to react but I don't think it's outrageous that you said something.

Really, a child that age you would expect her to apologise and for the child to apologise.

HaroldLloyd · 18/01/2014 20:10

I wouldn't get on your high horse pistol after your big fat burgers incident to be honest!

harryhausen · 18/01/2014 20:12

This thread is so entertaining.

FutTheShuckUp · 18/01/2014 20:16

What an absolute fuss over nothing. A very minor accident occured and the mum said sorry, if you dont chill the fuck out what are you going to do when a child quite deliberatley hurts yours in the school playground? Send her to the gallows?

FutTheShuckUp · 18/01/2014 20:18

Yep pistol, come back and defend the OP because this is play school right? Hmm

InPursuitOfOblivion · 18/01/2014 20:19

Everyone stop picking on pistol! She said burgers not 'Gregs sausage rolls' so its ok. We are all fine Grin
Plus it's nearly wine o'clock and if that's not a good enough reason to be in a good mood I don't know what is!

FutTheShuckUp · 18/01/2014 20:20

Im waiting to hear about the free range toddler in the child friendly restaurant who got told off for going round the tables 'entertaining' the other diners next

HaroldLloyd · 18/01/2014 20:20

Well I can inform you that I am about to eat a big fat burger.

And I am extremely happy about it.

FutTheShuckUp · 18/01/2014 20:21

Ive just gorged on three hot dogs nombut I do have three friends...
