" Just stick with him, he'll change eventually"

Inspired by another thread, what advice, response you never hear on mn?

Don't send your kids to the local comp. Who cares if it has good ofsted reports? It's probably a bit common.

hazeyjane · 27/12/2013 14:37

Sounds like that child was just being plain naughty - not SN.

Chances are that child has no sn and is just being a brat because the parents make no effort to get him/her to behave in a manner that behooves being a member of the rest of society.

Huh? I must be in the wrong thread - the above are things I do hear all the time on MN!

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 27/12/2013 14:39

Yes..just wish we didn't hear that nonsense on here ever!

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 27/12/2013 14:40

Also children with SN are also the "rest of society"

scottishmummy · 27/12/2013 14:43

Pop some baby rice in your wee bubz bottle, that'll help baby get to sleep
Join the PTA then you can act like a right cow and get away with it
Convince yourself your dp needs his pants bought by you, that'll justify your fannying about all day

Ohfuckeryitsmarzipan · 27/12/2013 14:52

Fuck no why would you spend that amount/alienate those who love you/give a flying fuck what anyone thinks/get stressed about.../give your child/not get professional advice/care what a bunch of strangers think?. /

Counselling is a waste of time and money.

Forget about blame and just be nice to each other from now on.

TheBigJessie · 27/12/2013 15:00

Computer games are a perfectly valid way of relaxation after work.

Shockers · 27/12/2013 15:01

Has anyone got a voucher code for the George at Asda onesie dept?

Which large TV would go best in the space where my bookcase used to be?

Best sausage rolls to serve at a playdate, Greggs or Ginsters?

I've just taken a quiz that says I'm 100% lower working class... what fun!

scottishmummy · 27/12/2013 15:02

TheBigJessie · 27/12/2013 15:02

Myleene Klass' Baby K range of baby clothes at Mothercare is very tasteful, and well worth the money.

TheBigJessie · 27/12/2013 15:04

"Yes, it is too early for wine."

friday16 · 27/12/2013 15:06

Other parents have bought their children one, but I've simply said no.

MrsVaughnRice · 27/12/2013 15:07

I'm so proud of DS. He's got through all of his new Call of Duty game in record time, he's only 8 and it's got an 18 year old difficulty rating. He's so advanced.

LineRunner · 27/12/2013 15:07

No, no-one on the Drunk Thread actually drinks.

friday16 · 27/12/2013 15:08

My son got a 5b in KS2 SATs, but it's a long time before he has to fill a UCAS form in so I'm not worried.

Gileswithachainsaw · 27/12/2013 15:09

Yes it's full of sugar and colourings but it's a kids party and a fruit shoot won't kill them. Let them eat the crap you can give them salad and water tomorrow when they won't be missing out on what the others are having.

scottishmummy · 27/12/2013 15:09

Here a voucher 2for1 get your fanny and tache sorted, that'll please your man

TheBigJessie · 27/12/2013 15:11

The staff were totally right to query my purchase of an 18 rated game, which I didn't even quite know the name of, and ask if I was actually buying it for the excited-looking tween at my elbow.

friday16 · 27/12/2013 15:13

I think it's OK for my 17 year old to use public transport.

LineRunner · 27/12/2013 15:14

Gideon Osborne. I'd have a go on him.

Joysmum · 27/12/2013 15:17

I really want to experiment in the bedroom to make our sex life more interesting.

I really want to tone things down in the bedroom as all this experimenting is addictive and I'm scared we won't be able to enjoy vanilla again.

scottishmummy · 27/12/2013 15:18

DoctorTwoTurtleDoves · 27/12/2013 15:30

How exciting is it that MN is going pink and glittery like Netmums? Can't wait to get my own ticker!

friday16 · 27/12/2013 15:34

It did occur to me that there might be some conflicts caused by marrying a man from a repressive, misogynistic culture in which women are traded as property and then moving to live with his parents in a theocracy, but what can you do when love is involved?
