" Just stick with him, he'll change eventually"

Inspired by another thread, what advice, response you never hear on mn?

"I am so proud to be a health visitor because I know how respected and valued my profession is."

Was just about to say something very similar about teachers.

bunchoffives · 27/12/2013 11:31

I'm sure your DM/MIL weren't intentionally rude. It's probably just a generational thing - why not give them the benefit of the doubt?

octopusinasantasack · 27/12/2013 11:32

Teachers don't get enough holiday.
People on benefits should be allowed to go away on holiday without losing their benefits.

love the one posted about Michael Gove.

TapDancingPimp · 27/12/2013 11:51

"That ghost you saw was definitely real, 100%, no doubt about it"

KatieScarlett2833 · 27/12/2013 11:54

The new Peter Andre show is starting in 5 mins, squeeeeeee!!!!!

Birdsgottafly · 27/12/2013 11:57

Something's are worth getting so upset about it is perfectly understandable to swear/shout even if children are present, because we are all human.

sashh · 27/12/2013 12:00

What ever you do don't leave him.

QuizteamBleakley · 27/12/2013 12:04

"Oooh, thanks for drip-feeding the actual history. I love the cliff-hanger feel to each updated post you make."

QuizteamBleakley · 27/12/2013 12:04

"Those lovely ladies on Netmums are frightfully clever and witty, aren't they."

QuizteamBleakley · 27/12/2013 12:05

"I hope my DD turns out just like Miley."

NearTheWindmill · 27/12/2013 12:06

'S absolutely worth getting them a wii for christmas and spreading the cost over the next few months - just to see their little faces light up and for the p and q technology buys you when you can't be bothered woth educational play

ChristmasCareeristBitchNigel · 27/12/2013 12:11

Your life has fallen apart/car has just crashed/DFIL in the middle of a heart attack ?

fFS get off the internet and sort your actual real life our

You want to know if you're prgnant/when you'll get paid by an employer none of us work for/other ridiculous impossible to answer query

how the fuck do any of us know ?

BalloonSlayer · 27/12/2013 12:15

Gosh your DC sounds advanced! Mine could never do that at that age. I think you ought to get them assessed because they sound Gifted and the school might need to be aware to make sure they are being stretched enough.

BalloonSlayer · 27/12/2013 12:20

I don't think your DS sounds naughty, just spirited. What 5 year old hasn't ever cut the girls' hair during carpet time? And to bring in his own scissors from home because the school ones are rubbish shows truly entrepreneurial thinking. I think it's obvious that the teacher just plain dislikes him. I think you should write a letter of complaint.

NewYearsHeave · 27/12/2013 12:28

We had this thread last week. Brilliant!! I enjoyed it so much I'm glad we can do it again :)

daisychain01 · 27/12/2013 12:39

Make sure you get fully involved in your DSCs lives by attending their school events and showing them how interested you are in their lives.

Their Birth Mother wont mind!

lljkk · 27/12/2013 12:42

"I am a little worried about my 7yo daughter going out alone so I insist she always takes the dog with her, the dog should protect her as dog has already bitten 3 or 4 people. We do have to be a bit careful because dog is a racist and doesn't like men with beards, either."

*True story, I was the little girl! And dog was a great companion.

bearleftmonkeyright · 27/12/2013 13:56

Your bubz your choice hun!

catgirl1976 · 27/12/2013 14:15

I really respect everyone else s choices when it comes to SAHM / WOHM, FF, EBF, Co-sleeping, cots, slings and weaning.

After all, everyone has individual circumstances, beliefs, experiences, children, desires, hopes, finances, families and constraints and we all just do the best we can with in those don't we?

neverthebride · 27/12/2013 14:22

DON'T call the Police.

They really have much better things to do than be bothered because someone parked on your drive/a child pushed your child over/someone called you a cow over a parking space/your workmate threw a strop about something/you are receiving silent phone calls/an Internet seller hasn't refunded your money yet.

neunundneunzigluftballons · 27/12/2013 14:25

Chances are that child has no sn and is just being a brat because the parents make no effort to get him/her to behave in a manner that behooves being a member of the rest of society.

Onesleeptillwembley · 27/12/2013 14:27

But it's my JOB to look after him after I get home from work.

Onesleeptillwembley · 27/12/2013 14:28

My Bubz is gawjuss!!!!

PrincessFlirtyPants · 27/12/2013 14:32

Yes, YABU but honestly don't worry about it. We can all be a bit like that at times.

TalkativeJim · 27/12/2013 14:32

Vaccinate, don't vaccinate - each to their own! Seriously, who can work up a sweat about it?
