To think most premade 'party food' is completely rank

Confused

It mostly doesn't taste of wee bites of nice, normal food but instead gelatinous mush with indistinct flavours

Bought some fab party nibbles in Tesco this weekend. Didn't have a party to host but just fancied them instead of supper & they were on special offer. Delicious Indian, Chinese & trad selection of yumminess. Wouldn't want to eat it every day of the week, but definitely not gelatinous mush.

I use Waitrose party food all the time for work functions & I have to say they are pretty damn yummy!

Where were you getting your stuff from LaurieFairyCake?

I am a complete food snob, I admit. I can't stand party food and always rock up to parties with buffets already fed. I don't do sausage rolls, cheese sticks, vol au vents, et al. I like a small portion of a tasty, homemade actual meal rather than tidbits of pastry, salt, sugar and butter.

Nothing wrong with. Some of the stuff in Iceland, but like anywhere, some of it is nice and some not. If i throw a party and put on a bit of food, in not trying to nourish anyone, just soak up a bit of alcohol so i usually do some Iceland bits. I find that if i pit a bit of effort in and make stuff and it then had to be thrown away i get pissed off, but Iceland food always gets eaten and whatever is left i have no problem throwing away.

I am totally willing to accept that im common though, if it makes anyone feel superior Grin

If I only had a party to go toSad, I would be thrilled with whatever was provided. My family have dietary ishoos so I have to make everything we eat. Filling a trolley with pre made from anywhere would be heavenly.
I would draw the line at anything involving king prawns though. Dirty little sewage filters they are ( the warm water ones, cold water ones are very respectable little things).
