Disclaimer, I don't want to hear people's views on her per se, I just want to know if she has returned or not.
It's a nightmare doing a search as hundreds of bloody pages come up!

Yes. I am being daft. But I do think the good posters deserve more kudos than they are currently getting.

If you really think OP is AF then you don't know AF at all. pokes tongue out

I don't know, why would any sane, adult person start this daft 'she's my bestest pal and I want to know where she is ' stamp stamp thread.

Paid contributors?

That is the daftest suggestion I have heard.

Maybe daft posters should pay to contribute? Wink

Put a fee on all the shit that is spouted here every month, and send out an invoice. MNHQ would be rolling in it!

Considering she got banned because people knew who she was and were deliberately goading her I can understand why she would want to be more anonymous if she returned.

I have no problem with AF but I wish people would just leave it alone unless she chose to out herself. Partly because she may want anonymity and partly because this constant brown nosing is nauseating.

I don't know why any sane, adult person would contribute to a thread they have such obvious disdain for...
Surely you have better things to do??

Please can someone tell me what the "hoo ha" was? Please? Why did I miss it?! Was it late it the evening perhaps?

Gosh, am I alone in not really noticing anyone's username at all, when I read a comment? Unless, say, I am looking for more posts from the OP on a thread that interests me?

I tend to assume that other people also regularly change their names (not temporarily for a specific thread) every few weeks, in case any real life acquaintance spots an identifying detail?

I think I've had twenty nicknames since I joined about a year and a half ago. I would be surprised if anyone regrets my former identities!

poster who are well known and liked do get kudos but seriously these people are just that people who have a bit of wisdom a bi t of humour and life experience which they share , doesn't make them experts unless they are actually experts in a field and to be paid for their nuggets of wisdom is just daft, these people are just ordinary people who are wasting a few hours chatting on the internet,

But who says what is a good poster?

Surely it's subjective?

that
^everlong* is the bestest poster ever of course unless she is banging on about vicky b Grin

No, mrsjay I vote for you as best poster.
I mean those two succinct and relevant comments above are just what is needed, no waffle, no sidetracking. Just good common sense. I vote for you.

Of course it's subjective. And of course I'm being daft.

But honestly and truly? You have to admit that there are posters who make MN what it is. Posters that will make you think, laugh and nod along in agreement. I luff those posters. I do. I appreciate them.

And I appreciate AF taking the time to respond to all the difficult, difficult relationship posts that I HAVE NO IDEA how to respond to.

That's it in a nutshell for me.

Kudos? Posters are usually told stuff like "good post" etc on the threads in question. Is more really required? This is not a job, nor a competitive sport.

Report
mrsjay · 08/11/2013 13:49

I agree there is posters who contribute well but to be missing these poster to an extent that thread AFTrer thread is started makes me a bit uneasy it is if people become too reliant on them and it is also not fair on the person behind the nickname either as it could and can make people feel responsible for others, nobody really knows AF when she is online nobody knows if she feels anxious or not and feels she has to answer these posts are not I just wish people would give the poor woman a break and let her come back if she wants or not,
