I get the same adverse reaction to ezcema patches. It has to be patches, with a distinct beginning.and end.

Ringworm is the worst. The more of a geometric shape it makes the iller I feel.

I was only brave enough to google lotus seed pods. Surprisingly creeped out by the Photoshopped image of a girl covered in them, but not by the things themselves. Was IS it that provokes such a strong disgust reaction in people? I don't quite get it.

Just seen someone explaining it up thread. Fascinating, these things we're hard wired to be grossed out by.

Oh fucking hell - I had to google it, didn't I?? I was fine with the description but then I clicked on images.....

And the I googled myiasis - one thing I have learned is that if someone says don't google something, they probably have a point!!!

Oh God! I'm lying in bed with goosebumps as I looked for a second and now can't get the images out of my mind.

My sister and I have had it since we were kids, we always just thought we were wierd.

That Sanex advert, eww!! I remember telling a friend about this and she took a mini hole punch to a piece of paper and punched hundreds of holes into it. I almost had a heart attack!

I don't actually have to see them, imagining that there COULD be anything with lots of holes is enough to set me off.

Are you all having me on? Is this a big joke? I can't believe looking at a crumpet, seed pod, or a honeycomb could make someone feel dizzy and sick!
Like, seriously? For real?

I agree smalltorch. I don't want to dismiss people's phobias as I have an "issue" with insects. However I'm wondering if my brain is wired a different way because I don't see anything remotely sick inducing or scary.

allofa and cafecito

you both mentioned Paisley - I don't like that pattern either. It's "wrong" somehow.

I'm a sporner but have this really badly. Think its because generally a spot or blackhead is just one rather than a cluster.

I refuse to google again. Each time these threads raise their head I think that it can't be as bad as I remember. Then I can't sleep for a few nights as the images invade my brain.

And as for that sanex advert....

Nope. Even thinking about googling it makes me cringe. I once had a weekend at a really nice country hotel through work and had to get the receptionist to remove the flower displays in my suite as they had those horrible seed things in.

But the pictures are so mesmerizing...

You see mine isn't for everything, only organic stuff like someone else mentioned. Strawberries are fit. For me it has to be clustered and round and small.

Wittsend13 Oh god, the fucking breast picture. I didn't eat for 2 days after seeing that. It was 6 years ago and I still have ishoos about it.

mignonette, why did I click on your images? Why? I'm now not going to be able to sleep (though the second one didn't trigger the trypophobic response, interestingly, it was just really, really unpleasant in the same way an oozing wound would be and I closed it again almost instantly. The first one, on the other hand -bleuaraghgh. ).

I genuinely felt sick and light headed after looking at the images but know my mum would probably vomit, something that bothers one person could have no effect on the next. Tyler you made me heave don't stick your tongue in them! Just no no no. Has anyone seen the curanail advert?

I don't have an issue with natural patterns eg lotus pods but the second it's on skin I get a really strong revulsion and goosebumps from head to toe Confused

Feel sick can't believe I looked at the breast one again

Fucking Sanex advert Angry

Though since it was forged in the pits of hell put on TV I've drastically increased my reflexes. I'm like lightning with the sky remote these days.
