Just google imaged the lotus pods (thinking that had to be safe to google) and could feel my skin tingling and the the skin on my scalp felt really tight.

I sort of want to look again to see if it still happens. Am very curious as to whether it's a natural reaction to the image (in which case, why?!?) or whether reading over 200 posts of people being creeped out has psychologically made me react this way because I've subconsciously built it up into a Big Thing...

Lotus pods are foul....

I struggle when cutting up melon & the centre with all the seeds clustered together - yuk!

It's more organic patterns for me...it's a nauseous feeling.

It's only organic stuff for me - tripe, lotus seed pods, coral, that sort of thing. I saw a picture of a Surinam toad in a magazine once and really thought I was going to throw up. I'm fine with colanders and hole punches and things like that.

Okay, so on Tuesday, like a twat, I googled Tryptophobia. It gave 3 picture examples. The first was some kind of flesh/open pore monstrosity that has been given me the mind heaves ever-bloody-since. I can't stop compulsively thinking about it, because I don't understand what it is, but daren't look at it again in case I get even more freaky about it. Please could somebody tell me what the bloody hell it is a picture of?!

I dunno why it's messing with my head, I actually LIKE close-up pictures of holes, seed pods, inside hives, tesselation and so on!

Somebody please tell me, argh!

The Toad is what made my family think I'd finally lost it. I mean they had their suspicions I was a bit weird when I'd hide my mother's decorative shells which had holes all over them... and when she'd catch me smashing the lotus seed pods from her potpourri with a brick in the garden, or screaming hysterically because I'd upended an ant's nest and could see clusters of eggs. Typing 'clusters' is actually a trigger for me. I've made myself feel sick. Brilliant.

But The Toad is what made them worry for my sanity. I screamed and retched, had nightmares for weeks. That Toad is my fucking nemesis and should be aborted from nature.

Oxford bags, I think that first picture is some kind of coral

Oh, it being coral actually stops me feeling weird about it, phew!

i thought the hyperdontia thing looked like one of those sheepshead fish (Pacu?) here but there seems to be a nose in the picture

Yes thinking its some kind of skin complaint, verucca etc makes it so much grosser

I read a library book to my kids last night and it had a picture of loads of jelly beans standing on end all clustered together, yuk
