Oh GOD. I feel sick. I think my problem is the ones that look like rashes infected skin etc. Never had problems with non-organic holes. Although I did just see some tiger bread in the fridge at work. Eek.

ephemeralfairy · 04/09/2013 16:59

But I bloody love a good cyst-popping/blackhead extraction video nasty.

melika · 04/09/2013 17:03

Not normally squeamish but YANBU. Awful things them holes.

mignonette · 04/09/2013 17:07

ThePower They are protected so even if they rubbed that snout up and down your arm you can do nothing....Grin.

JerseySpud · 04/09/2013 17:10

never ever look up spacedock fondue

Ever.

Listentomum · 04/09/2013 17:16

I as fine until the fucking holey spider piped on to my screen.

ZingWantsCake · 04/09/2013 17:21

really doesn't bother me.

I mean the photos are not nice to look at, but my mind immediately translates them as interesting.

I'm a very visual person.
I love patterns.
I adore repeating patterns and tessellation - I design and make quilts and jewellery, I'd be unable to do either if I had this phobia!

in fact I think I'm probably a bit of a trypopophil!Grin
and I'm pretty sure that so was Antonio Gaudi!

mignonette · 04/09/2013 17:21

Think of how many creatures live in these holes?

Worms may live here.

mignonette · 04/09/2013 17:23

Zing Me too. I am fixated on pattern and shape. I love a Fractal.

ZingWantsCake · 04/09/2013 17:57

mignonette fractal?
what's that?

Thepowerof3 · 04/09/2013 18:36

I screamed over those worm holes

Thepowerof3 · 04/09/2013 18:43

I'd probably drown mignonette!

Fractal love here. They are repeating patterns like ferns, tree branches. You can make your own fractals on this site on the main page.

fatpony · 04/09/2013 20:31

Oh dear, just showed my husband and now he doesn't want his dinner!!! Says it reminds him of armadillos which he does have a random phobia of - the repeating pattern etc

ZingWantsCake · 04/09/2013 21:32

mignonette

yes, second one is nasty. bleurgh. but I still studied it for a whole minute!

the honeycomb is one of my favourite patterns ever - and I think it's fascinating.
I can't believe it is the most common image associated with trypopophobia!

ephemeralfairy · 04/09/2013 22:50

Oh my lord I have been feeling shivery and itchy all afternoon and evening! I may never be the same again. Colanders! Bubbles in washing up water!!! Also I really bought into the studded clothes trend last year. Have had to rearrange my wardrobe to hide the nasties. ConfusedHmm

KatoPotato · 04/09/2013 22:51

Fellow phobics. I had to turn off Grand designs tonight... Concrete with many many holes and some gaps with lots of pebbles poking through.

This post has taken me about 10 minutes to type.

ZingWantsCake · 04/09/2013 22:55

how about polka dots on clothes -are they are problem?

or does the pattern "have to be " 3D image (so with depth or height)

Allofaflumble · 04/09/2013 23:10

Polka dots and stripes might make me feel a bit dizzy but paisley for example would set me itching and shuddering if I were to really concentrate on the pattern. Bizarre.

SHarri13 · 04/09/2013 23:16

The sanrx advert, horrible, I am most certainly tryptophobic, I never knew it was a 'thing' before today though.

TylerHopkins · 04/09/2013 23:27

When I see holey patterns I feel the urge to stick my tongue in them.
I love Trypo pics. I'm addicted. Yum yum.

cafecito · 04/09/2013 23:32

I have a wormy phobia. It started when I was studying helminths in immunology. I now am totally phobic. I won't give you certain words to google or the world will end Grin

I have a revulsion to paisley too but fractals are awesome

TylerHopkins · 04/09/2013 23:33

You'll love this one, go on, you know you want to
