...have some special time with my new Dyson?!

Had one of those boggle-eyed Henry fuckers for years and FINALLY it died a death last week. I was looking for a replacement and thought I'd riskily justify spending more and getting a Dyson.

Well, it's a sucking beauty! Moves like a dream. mu carpets have never been so clean! Henry must have been a lot shitter than i ever imagined. My husband is working late at the moment and so I've taken advantage for some quality time. I am tempted to rub the dog into the living room carpet so I a can use it again and again and again.

I'm a mother sucker, but AIBU?

YABU

Henry obviously couldn't cope with you and your desire for a dyson. He must have felt your hatred.

Poor Henry, all he wanted was love and even in death you couldn't do that. I'm just glad he isn't around for your "boggle eyed" comment. He cant help how he looked!

SPsTotallyMullerFuckingLicious · 28/08/2013 19:32

PS I hope your dog pisses on your Dyson

WaitMonkey · 28/08/2013 19:33

Bloody hell, I'm sorry but you are very worrying. And apart, from anything else Dysons are crap. I can't wait for it to die. so I can replace it with a miele. Grin

CoteDAzur · 28/08/2013 19:35

SPs Grin

ermumof2 · 28/08/2013 19:35

I had a Dyson too , worst Hoover ever , sorry .

ouryve · 28/08/2013 19:35

I love my dysons (I have one upstairs and one downstairs). I love them even more when DH is using them.

bonzo77 · 28/08/2013 19:35

Oh poor little Henry. With his puppy dog eyes. I luffs him.

elspethmcgillicuddy · 28/08/2013 19:35

YABU I hated a Dyson and would have preferred a Henry. not just because the dyson was inherited from a great aunt and made the house smell of her dead dog

Bagless hoovers suck in my opinion. Figuratively, sadly not literally. Now my little Miele beauty.... That there is a vacuum!

Crowler · 28/08/2013 19:37

I bought my first dyson this year after YEARS of coveting them and losing my nerve at checkout because of the bloody price.

YANBU.

Astr0naut · 28/08/2013 19:37

We've just ditched the Dyson for a Henry. dh is in love. I'm just glad we didn't get a henrietta!

SPsTotallyMullerFuckingLicious · 28/08/2013 19:38

I loved my Henry and Henrietta. yes I got both so Henry wasn't lonely

I can drag him done the stairs and he could take it. He then blew up one day and was never the same. He lost suction and would smoke constantly. I guess he just wanted to retire.

Henrietta is in the cupboard. I'm tempted to by another Henry for her. I currently have this shitty blue thing.

SPsTotallyMullerFuckingLicious · 28/08/2013 19:39

I could** Sometimes I forget he isn't here anymore

Sleepybunny · 28/08/2013 19:41

YABU! It's clearly a rebound relationship as Henry was only dead a short while before you moved on to Dyson. How long before Dyson no longer tickles your fancy!?

Hoover hussy!

SPsTotallyMullerFuckingLicious · 28/08/2013 19:44

Sleepy Bet she is already eyeing up the Vax

MalcolmTuckersMistress · 28/08/2013 19:48

SPsTotallyMullerFuckingLicious Henry's lifeless husk is lying by the back door now awaiting his imminent dissection. Not so smiley and jolly now he has half of his head missing!

DizzyPurple · 28/08/2013 19:48

Ouryve The only time I like our Dyson is when dh is using it too! Waiting for it to go to Hoover heaven so I can find something else but it just keeps going! Well to be fair it's not overworked..

SPsTotallyMullerFuckingLicious · 28/08/2013 19:50

Malcolm You are a monster! I hope Dyson sees you for the hoover user that you are. You never deserved Henry!

I'm going to open a safe haven for neglected and abused henry's

MalcolmTuckersMistress · 28/08/2013 19:51

SleepyBunny you've no idea! I had 7 vacummes in as many years before I got together with Henry. I thought he was the one until he started switching off randomly. If he couldn't meet my needs any longer he should have thought about the concequences.

My Dyson died when I took it to help with the big clean up at the charity shop I volunteered at.

The woman who was using it when it died is now known as the 'Destroyer of Dysons' & my OH gave her a bunch of flowers as he was so happy that it had died.

They are awful.

So, yes, YABU!

GoingGoingGoth · 28/08/2013 19:53

I love my Henry
would like a Miele though

GoingGoingGoth · 28/08/2013 19:54

BUT YANBU over putting the DCs to bed early, I do it whenever I get the chance

pianodoodle · 28/08/2013 19:55

Cebo is the way to go I borrowed a friend's a while back.

I have a Dyson I got off gumtree for £20 because it overheated after a few minutes.

Cleaned it out and it works fine now!

Never had another Dyson to compare it with but at £20 it doesn't owe me much so I can't complain Grin

SirRaymondClench · 28/08/2013 19:56

A word of caution here Op. Dyson's die. My Dyson has died. Painfully.
What the fuck am I going to do now??

OldBeanbagz · 28/08/2013 19:57

YABU

I'm am so over my Dyson and my Miele (both killled by builders).

There's no one but Henry for me now Wink

SPsTotallyMullerFuckingLicious · 28/08/2013 19:57
