Surely , you finish your bath/shower and remove the bottles and out them back on shelf/ledge

You do not leave then on the sie of the bath

Oh bugger, I hope DH doesn't see this thread...
One of the big fights in our house is that he doesn't put bottles back on the shelves Blush
It gets worse...the top shelf is for face products, middle for body products and bottom for hair stuff.
AND I keep my toaster in a kitchen cupboard.
I'm a weirdo, there is no help for me :)

cushtie335 · 18/08/2013 12:26

YANBU, that is what the big cabinet in our bathroom is for FFS! And while you're at it, stop leaving EMPTY bottles of gel/shampoo/body wash at the side of the bath and the inside of the loo roll which you finished and didn't replace.

WireCat · 18/08/2013 12:37

OP, your child has a shower. Voluntarily.

Nw if you had started a post about empty loo roll cartons and the fact that no one else in my house has passed the empty loo roll changing exam, then I'd have handsome sympathies.

Had some.

Not handsome.

Good fucking god.

vestandknickers · 18/08/2013 13:04

Terra. Surely hair stuff should be on the top shelf, then face stuff in the middle, then body stuff on the bottom. Then its in the same order as your body. Please tell me you'll re-think your system.

LondonMan · 18/08/2013 13:52

My shelf is made of marble, apparently any sort of chemical (including soap and toothpaste) will permanently damage it, so no bottles are allowed on the shelf.

Makes me think marble is not much use, really. Though it looks nice.

I can't believe this thread has managed pages without anyone actually using the words "first world problem".

There - sorted.

Anniegetyourgun · 18/08/2013 14:17

8 pages Blush

Elsiequadrille · 18/08/2013 14:27

"Our solution to this problem is to conveniently hide them all away inside a nice 'bag for life' from Lidl which is then tastefully displayed upon a heavy duty nail we banged into the tiles above the taps (you really can't notice the resultant crack much). We ring the changes at Christmas and add some upmarket festive cheer by substituting the Lidl bag with a special one from Morrisons wot 'as a fancy cake on it."

I'm stealing this suggestion Grin

YABU. Shelves are for the new stuff that hasn't been used yet. Stuff in use goes on the side of the bath/shower tray.

Empty stuff sits at the side of the bath/shower tray until I get really annoyed with whoever finished it and make them put it in the bin.

TerraNotSoFirma · 18/08/2013 14:39

Agh vest now I have to re-do it :)

ilovepowerhoop · 18/08/2013 14:58

we have this in the shower but it is a stand alone shower so the bath also has stuff round it

crazykat · 18/08/2013 15:06

Nope you don't leave them on the side of the bath, they fall off.

Much better to leave them in the corner Wink

marcopront · 19/08/2013 12:52

Londonman.

Marble is hard to stain. I've managed to get acrylic paint off it with water.

I have shelves in my shower, the walls are made of marble, but the shelves are glass.
