Surely , you finish your bath/shower and remove the bottles and out them back on shelf/ledge

You do not leave then on the sie of the bath

Ledkr Grin

Ours live on the windowsill above the bath.

travellingwilbury · 17/08/2013 22:11

Why would the bath have a side if not to store such things ?

thisisyesterday · 17/08/2013 22:12

well i don't have a shelf... so no

pictish · 17/08/2013 22:12

What?

I don't have a shelf. Am I doomed?

RevoltingPeasant · 17/08/2013 22:12

I keep mine in the cistern of my toilet.

aturtlenamedmack · 17/08/2013 22:12

Oddball Grin

SPBisResisting · 17/08/2013 22:13

OP are you OK?

IneedAyoniNickname · 17/08/2013 22:13

The side of the bath is the shelf Confused

Bowlersarm · 17/08/2013 22:13

You are very strange OP.

The requirement, when I designed my bathroom, was that there were acres around the bath to leave numerous containers of shampoo, conditioners, shower gel, bubble bath, bath oil, bath salts, exfoliates.....ready to hand. Absolutely not to put them away, anywhere.

You are wrong!

RevoltingPeasant · 17/08/2013 22:14

The bath has sides to keep the water in. They are not for displaying your toiletries. Slatterns.

MrsBungle · 17/08/2013 22:14

What shelf? Am I not normal? Confused

Has every other bugger got a shelf? Nah, a shelf would look shit in my bathroom.

Stropzilla · 17/08/2013 22:14

My kids toys take up the storage. It's either a couple of matching bottles, or a pirate ship and some tatty plastic sea creatures!

ananikifo · 17/08/2013 22:17

This is a joke, right?

Every day, MN reminds me that there are people out there judging me for things I haven't even heard of.

SupermansBigRedPants · 17/08/2013 22:17

We have a fancy knickers corner bath (landlord installed it we're not posh!) with a seat which is our shelf most of the time Grin tonight it contains shower gels x 3, ds's top to toe wash I used on my hormonally challenged greasy hair, my own shampoo and conditioner, dd1's shampoo and shower gel, a razor, a wide toothed comb and an octopus..

FirstStopCafe · 17/08/2013 22:18

What? Really? We have all bottles in current use on the side of the bath. Unopened bottles are on the shelf until time for them to be used

gordyslovesheep · 17/08/2013 22:18

you have a bath for your fancy knickers - how impressive Grin

StephenFrySaidSo · 17/08/2013 22:18

well I suppose I could build a shelf. but then it'd get all wet and develop those gloopy rings from the bottom of the bottles and i'd have to clean it. it would just be so much extra work and i'm just not up for that. but thanks for the suggestion though. keep 'em coming. i'm sure one will stick soon Wink

WillyandTig · 17/08/2013 22:19

Threads like this make me feel normal for once. Thanks OP! The side of the bath is my shelf haha.

BeaWheesht · 17/08/2013 22:20

Yanbu.

We don't have room for bottles on the side of our bath, where would I put the diver, ducks, boat, sailor, octopus, shark, singing squirty elephant and the boats?

SandStorm · 17/08/2013 22:20

But if you put them back on the shelf, next time you have a bath you have to remember to pick them up again. Surely it's easier and more time efficient to just leave them there?

MajesticWhine · 17/08/2013 22:21

It's disgraceful to put the shampoo on the side of the bath. That's where all the toy boats, crabs, frogs and ducks live.

IfIonlyhadsomesleep · 17/08/2013 22:21

Dear lord! Something else for me to worry about! Mind you, I could knock something else off my list to make room for it. Should it be global warming or whether my children (oldest currently aged seven) will get into university?

Ezio · 17/08/2013 22:22

Most of the stuff is on the windowsil, my razor, shampoo and bodywash live by the bath, knowing me i'd get in the bath and realise i dont have them to hand.
