To be thinking of going round and slapping this mother if the police don't hurry up and get here?

My neighbour is physically and verbally abusing her daughter, and i mean really badly.

I've just listened to her screaming at the poor kid in the garden and telling her 'you're a useless cunt just like your fucking father, that's why he left you' then there was a massive thwack noise and i looked out the window in time to see her dragging the child in by the hair, there's what looks like blood on the patio, when they got indoors the mother carried on screaming at the child and there have been a few thumping noises followed by screams. I've called the police but they aren't here yet and the child is still crying, it's heart breaking.

Poor kid is only 2! She can't have done anything so terrible as to deserve that!

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 31/07/2013 17:48

neverbefore · 31/07/2013 17:49

LaurieFairyCake · 31/07/2013 17:49

I'd be round there with a fucking baseball bat!

Call the rozzers again !

Quaffle · 31/07/2013 17:50

Did you ring 999?? Ring it again!

Of course this thread will shortly be full of "You only have a snapshot of this woman's life; she's probably a lovely mum and you should be offering help rather than judging" type comments.

mumblechum1 · 31/07/2013 17:50

I think you should go around, just to distract her. I really hope the police do something.

rainbowfeet · 31/07/2013 17:50

Sad Poor kid

Just a thought but the NSPCC might have some advice for you

TallGiraffe · 31/07/2013 17:50

Sad can you record the audio for the police?

insancerre · 31/07/2013 17:51

have they arrived yet?
did you ring 999?

corlan · 31/07/2013 17:51

Go round now, knock on the door and ask her if everything's allright because you heard screaming.

Moetlovermuvver · 31/07/2013 17:51

Ring the police again and if you think you can cope with what she may throw at you then go round. Is there another adult that can go with you?

Cluffyflump · 31/07/2013 17:51

Get yourself round there and hammer on the door!

MrsKeithRichards · 31/07/2013 17:52

Please tell me you have rang 999?

quoteunquote · 31/07/2013 17:52

anyone with you?

can you go round and knock on the door to buy time?

keep your phone on record and have a line open to the police.

dramajustfollowsme · 31/07/2013 17:52

Poor baby! That is a bad assault. Hope the police are there now. Horrific.

HeySoulSister · 31/07/2013 17:52

just go and knock!! seriously,it might shock her into stopping

ageofgrandillusion · 31/07/2013 17:52

Audio, video, anything you got is a great idea.

Tigglettchic · 31/07/2013 17:53

I hope the police have arrived.

If there are any "she's probably a lovely mum and you should be offering help rather than judging" type comments. I would be very concerned about their parenting and sense of risk!!!

Hope all is well, expect to be called by Children's services but you have the right to remain confidential

YouStayClassySanDiego · 31/07/2013 17:54

Get your backside round there if you don't have dc's of your own to care for!

painforlife · 31/07/2013 17:54

omg dat is terrible hope the ppoor child is ok. pls call the police again if they haven't turned up!!!

BenedictCumberbitch · 31/07/2013 17:55

Fucking hell! Shock

DoodleAlley · 31/07/2013 17:55

Go around. You never know how much that little girl might be needing an adult to step in for her right now.

onepieceoflollipop · 31/07/2013 17:56

Get off here and get round there, grab other neighbours/passers by for back up if possible. Even banging on her door could be a distraction.

ageofgrandillusion · 31/07/2013 17:57

You got ya rolling pin at the ready OP?

GlobalWarning · 31/07/2013 17:57

Go round if you can
