I love my dog, I walk her on the beach and off her lead in the park. I let small children pet her. She eats food off leftover plates and I don't care because she is such a positive, enriching part of my life.

So much dog hate on AIBU recently. I just wanted to spread a bit of smelly, furry, drooly love.

I love LittleDog and I've never met him.

You would love him, he's such a funny looking, dear little thing :D

I do not like cats and a cat free world would make me quite happy I understand that many, many people love their cats so I am polite and empathic enough not to spew out my hatred to them.

A trait clearly lost on the dog haters here.

My dogs bring me love and companionship. They get me out of the house when all I want to do is sit on my bum!

My GSD has saved me from some really dodgy men and jumped a 6 foot gate to get to me when I was hurt. He is a gorgeous dog and I love his big head and deep chest and feeling him breath as he sleeps next to me.

My Golden is a joker and spends her life on her back asking for belly rubs, I love her floppy, soft ears and how her head smells like warm bread after she has been in the sun.

I luff all dogs!

You don't even have to be a dog lover, it can be that one dog that just steals your heart. I've had a dog that I didn't bond with and I resented every stray hair, every shit I had to clean up...

Then you meet your heart dog and not one bit of it particularly bothers me. I'm not a massive dog lover, but I do love my boy.

I love my GSD. He's the soppiest big lump and he adores the dc more than anything... Except a ball.

Yes he's big, dark & looks scary but not a bad bone in his body. He's also been used to help other less friendly hooligans how to behave!

My Springer adds hugely to the sum total of my existence.

I've got a dachshund draped over my lap. Very nice.

I think its fine to have people come onto a dogs are great thread and say, actually I think they are shit.

What's not ok is levelling shitty attacks at each other. But that is nothing to do with this thread or dogs. It's the fact that for every antagonistic arse is another arse who won't ignore it.
