A friend has been raving about mumsnet and said that i should join as it is "like talking to friends who are supportive, friendly and who give sound advice." I have been lurking on mn and have been reading lots of threads and have been put off from starting a thread myself because i found some of the replies really quite un friendly (to say the least) and some sound quite rude. I realize that mn prides its self on being a 'no nonsense' type of forum and life isnt all flowers and fluffy clouds, and that sometimes the truth isnt always 'nice' but i was quite shocked at some of the 'un sisterly' comments.

If she had any of those problems, Yap, she would have got support.

And anyone saying she wouldn't ,doesn't know MN.

ABF, my Zebra Snail was called Hagrid.

We LOST our Pleko. Actually lost it. It is quite high on my list of shit that has disturbed the fuck out of me.

DS1 had a plecostomus called Lord Zed and a red tailed shark called Billy.

reelingintheyears · 21/06/2013 23:23

HoneyDragon, have you looked down the back of the tank?
DP found two fish that had disappeared when he couldn't understand where they'd gone.
They must have jumped ship!

SanityClause · 21/06/2013 23:38

YANBU, Feegle!

Wallison · 21/06/2013 23:43

So are all of you on this thread talking about fish then? Maybe that's why I don't understand it.

usualsuspect · 21/06/2013 23:49

MNHQ seem to have given up on this thread.

so, is OP a PBP with a grudge?

Oh thank you so much Sanity

I did tell him he was a self-serving bastard but he denied it! Pfffft

I've told him he can see to the Boss' nighttime awakenings (of which there are many) and we've agreed I'll leave the depravity until next time...Grin

love this thread. and Sinister how DO you know that? I don't understand vests...why don't people wear lovely big jumpers in the winter? Or are these people wearing them in the summer too? (I'm way too interested in this, aren't I...)

ToysRLuv · 22/06/2013 00:19

Yes, aren't their arms cold? Or their torso too hot?

FeegleFion · 22/06/2013 00:19

Hello! Grin how do you know? I'm nosey

SugarandSpice126 · 22/06/2013 00:27

ToysRLuv maybe they wear long sleeved vests? And long johns underneath their trousers?

ToysRLuv · 22/06/2013 00:30

You wear layers to keep you warm, not just big jumpers, vests are very sexy warming under a tee shirt and a big fluffy jumper.

amazingmumof6 · 22/06/2013 03:30

oinkment when you were in Asda did you notice any T-rexing?

oinkment · 22/06/2013 07:07

Sorry to leave you all hanging on the Asda fig roll issue.

Asda did get back to me - they said if I don't like their fig rolls I should probably just not bother buying or eating them Confused, and then rather snippily (I thought) suggested maybe I'd be better off with a much gentler M&S fig roll if I couldn't cope with the figginess of Asda's own. And then they went on about their wide range of fresh and frozen fish. It was a bit weird to be honest.

oinkment · 22/06/2013 07:09

(I don't know what T-rexing is and I have a strict policy of never googling Mumsnet things I don't know about so sadly I may never find out)

amazingmumof6 · 22/06/2013 08:42

oink Google it.

it is possibly the funniest thread
