Where's the card gone to?

Ilovemyself - you are soooo missing the points. I was explaining that the 'it's only a card' brigade are wrong, by using an analogy. Symbols and imagesFcart reveal thoughts and can reinforce prejudice.

The reference to jokes being OK if directed at those in authority is to say it's fine - and actually has a moral purpose, if you want to get very serious about it - to poke fun at e.g. the government or anyone who has power over other people and is mis-using it or has the potential to mis-use it. Long and honourable history of taking the mick out of those with power - which is not only people in authority but also those who patronise people who are, for instance, disabled, or gay, or black.
