Just curious to see what others weigh who are the same height as me, and are you happy with your weight?

I'm trying to lose a few pounds so just thinking about all this.

Apologies if I'm being too nosy!

I'm 5'4". 28 weeks pregnant now, so not sure at the moment, but pre-pregnancy stayed around 9 stone.
I sometimes wistfully remember the days of being under 8 stone, but love my food too much and never really exercise. I'm happy enough with being 9 stone to not bother doing anything about it, and I think 8 stone was probably too skinny for me anyway, because I'm quite curvy (big boobs and bum).

Hi - I'm 5'4" and just under 70kg (11 stone) Way overweight and need to do something about it. No inclination to diet at all but have recently discovered the joys of exercise. Would love to be 9st4-7lbs which was my weight for all adult life, even after DC, until I needed some meds with a side effect of weight gain.

Way before my DD came along, I was 7.5 stone. I was so happy back then, although I did get the odd person asking 'Do you eat?!' Hmm

Now, I'm more like 8.5-9 stone and I hate it. I sit down and have 'rolls' in my tummy, it's horrible and uncomfortable and really depresses me!

drinkyourmilk there's more to life than weight, hope you're feeling well. I put on 2 stone with anti-depressants last year but it came off again back to my "normal" afterwards.

Am 5'4". Currently 69 kilos two months after having DS. Was previously 58-60 and would like to get close to that again so I don't need to buy a new wardrobe... Ugh a long slog ahead I think!

11 and a half stone, wld live to be at least one stone less, not where to find the absolute motivation to sort it out yet.

wtf?
This is what I don't get about Mumsnet.
Amongst other things.
People who weigh 8-9 stone, are 5ft 4, and think they're fat.
You are not.
But perhaps feminism never happened.

depends on your age too.
8 stone on a 45 yr old often looks gaunt.

I'm 5'4'' and was 10 stone 2 the other day. I'm quite fit due to lots of swimming, but am going to try and lose a little bit more. Not bothered about the number on the scales but still feel a little bit big round my waist.
Quite pleased overall though, as I have lost a lot of weight and am in my 50's. Anyway weight is a health issue to me and I know my health is pretty good.

5'4 and a half, 10 stone (give or take), definite hour glass shape with a large bust and small(ish) waist so I'm fairly happy with my shape/size.

9 st 13 but trying to get down to 9.7, put on a bit recently as been tired and run down and comfort eating. Would love to be 9.0, was 8.7 before dcs!

Aren't weights kind of meaningless without sizes too? I'm 5'4.5" and weigh 9st12. I'm an 8-10. I marvel at the women who are my height and a stone lighter as I don't think I have that to lose!

I get kind of obsessed with the number on the scales and have to remind myself that it's not what I weigh that counts, it's how my clothes fit and how healthy I am - and weight is a byproduct of a healthy lifestyle, not the target of it.

5ft 4 here. ideal weight for me is 9st 7.
i have been 8st 7 but am currently 10st 6....not happy at that really but i seem to have buggered my metabolism and my will power appears to have upped and left with the last diet i did.....

i would be happy at 9st 12.

i am about to begin the 123 diet if i can get my head around no carbs for a few weeks....

my weakness isnt so much food as wine.....the low carb thing means i could have a vodka and diet coke - i need some sort of treat!

going to begin running again on monday and my work pal is bringing the 123 diet book in for me tomorrow....
i will miss fruit for a few weeks though....however i live on fruit, cereal and i think i need to shock my body into weight loss now - im stuck and have been for years.

HotelTango that's so true. I was size 8-10 at 9stone 4lb and horribly skeletal when I went down under eight and a half stone. I remember being fitted for a dress and being told mine were the tiniest measurements the dressmaker had ever taken, but I was 8 stone 4 at the time, so must have had pretty heavy bones for that to be the case. It's all about how you feel and how clothes fit, nothing to do with the scales.

Vary between about 8 stone 2 and 8 and a half stone, usually lower end in summer when eating less stodgy food and upper end in winter. I start to look a bit gaunt if my weight goes below 8 stone, for example if I am running a lot.(I'm 45)

5 ft 4" and weigh 7.5 st/47kg. Clothes size 6.

Too skinny but I have been this way for 30 years and love my food (don't each huge amounts but thoroughly enjoy what I eat). I guess I am meant to be this way so don't angst about it too much although would love to put on about half a stone to stop looking quite so unhealthily skinny and to stop some of the crap comments I get - i.e. are you anorexic Hmm - would you really consider asking someone out of the blue if they had mental health issues??

Exercise a bit, cycling and dog walking, but nothing too strenuous!

I'm 5' 4" and about 11st 8. Size 12/14.

Really not happy with my weight at the moment but waiting for some will power to turn up Grin

I'm happy at about 10st. I lost weight a few years ago and got down to 9st 9 but felt a little bit bony as I have big hips and think I need a bit more padding to feel comfortable.

Can't wait to be 10st again. Come on will power.

5'5" here and 10 st 10. I'm trying to get below 10 stone as it's a healthier weight for me (we have type 2 diabetes in our family) as well as looking better. It's kind of stayed on since my second pregnancy six years ago and the longer I leave it, the harder it'll be. I need to exercise more. I was doing the couch to 5k but have got plantar fasciitis in my foot so I need to find a lower impact exercise.

5'3" and 60 kg, size 12.

Live in a foreign country where people are generally smaller build and thinner. Body-fat measured recently, and told that with fat % of 32 I am medically obese and need to loose 6 kg.

I thought "bollocks", but I googled it and indeed, 32% is the threshold for being obese.

I'm 5'3" (and a half!) and weigh 8 and a half stone. I'm a size 8 on the bottom and a 10 on the top due to boobage!

I think my ideal weight is 8 stone as I tend to look chubby in the middle, but no lower than that.

I think I am between 9.10 and 10 stones but I dont weigh myself as I'm recovered ED. About 8 lbs of that is pure muscle though Grin
