I just got a copy of series 1 of Game of Thrones from a mate.

It's very rude. It's like Lord of the Rings, only with tits and incest. I had heard about it and thought DS 14 would enjoy something like that. After watching it myself, I think he would enjoy it a little too much.

I think it's fab, but I haven't seen any other TV series that feature so much full frontal nudity. It even has willies!

and i do find the female nudity rather gratuitious. strange as the women characters are quite strong and interesting. but saying that I find Ian Glen's character ridiculously sexy for some reason more than any other male character.

Jamie Lannister is hot too aside from the incesty murderous thing. We all have character flaws though I suppose.

The one who leaves my loins cold though is Rob Stark. I find him a bit dull.

If the female characters were just there for a bit of 'fluff' I'd find the nudity a bit wrong but they aren't - it's a fantastic series with great, strong female characters.

My favourite is Arya. I love Tyrian as well.

I wish I had Sky but will just have to wait for the box set.

i too think the incest thing is ridiculous- it's practically every ruling family FFs!
There are some horrifying characters in it, but I think that's part of its brilliance.

The books are pretty rude TBH I didn't notice the boobs in the books because the story and the characters are so good, especially Tyrion and Arya.

But I do wish some of the ladies they've used for the TV series were as good as they are in the books, Melisandre is a bit of a let down for me and I wish Cersei was more beautiful even though the actress who play's her is amazing

I have read all the books (waaaaay before the TV show - love fantasy as a rule) and have a real love/hate relationship with the tv show.

LOVE how well some of the casting has been carried out. Me and DM always talked about who they would get to play Tyrion and Peter Dinkledge could not be better - the man is perfection and I luffs him. Jaime is spot on, Brienne too. The kids are all very good, esp. Joffrey - what a little monster. Whoever booked Maergery Tyrell needs shooting though - Ann effing Boleyn from The Tudors (which me and DM refused to watch due to it being a shagfest). Maybe I've read the books all wrong, but Maergery doesn't come across as that conniving and, well, slutty, to me. Offering a three-way with her own brother??? WTAF?

HATE how George R R Martin has essentially sold-out to HBO and gone 'tits? Yeah, put loads in! Willies? Yeah, loads of those too! Sexual relationships between characters who didn't have them in the books? Why the hell not! You're paying me enough!'. But that's HBO for you.

This I will say though, to those of you watching the show who haven't read the books (and you should, you really, really should): don't get attached to ANYONE! Sean Bean proved that to be true to series 1. And it doesn't get any better. George R R Martin kills off main characters left, right and center. There are some major shocks ahead.

And Jaime? You may hate him now, but I think he has the biggest personal journey of any character in the show!

I love lots of the characters, some of them like Joffrey for their sheer vileness. Tyrion is really clever and Arya is so brave, I really hope she makes it!
