We filled a thread, so here's another!

Hi all Grin

MrsKeithRichards · 02/03/2013 19:22

I'm wanting dh to come home, he pays a lot of attention to my bombs, wondering what he'll say.

TheDoctrineOfSciAndNatureClub · 02/03/2013 19:24

Bombs?!

Damn you auto correct Grin

sparkle12mar08 · 02/03/2013 19:24

Can I just check I'm not the only one who has been glued to these threads the last few days, and hitting refresh on a minute by minute basis Blush

sparkle12mar08 · 02/03/2013 19:24

Oh but I just bet they're absolutely the bomb right now in a properly fitting bra!!!

blibblibs · 02/03/2013 19:25

Celticpromise i was really disappointed in Bravissimo today after I'd heard such wonderful things about them here. I'm not really one to complain and almost felt guilty for not buying anything.Grin
The back fat couldn't have been scooped forward, it was all the way round at the back, where the band was and all the way round underneath. I do think the 30 was just a bit too tight. The 32's were tight but no back fat.

Sparkle thanks, will away and look at brastop now if they have free returns. Any suggestions?

HeavenlyWineandRoses · 02/03/2013 19:25

Belated thanks to Sorrel and Celtic. I have been out all day but now eagerly hitting Figleaves.com.

I used to buy underwear at m&s before having kids and therefore pre-boobs but wouldn't trust my post-baby and nursing boobs to them. Lingerie was such a key part of their product line and they still have some really lovely designs but shame about the sizing. They ought to get Sorrel and Celtic in as their new Boobs Ambassadors.

CelticPromise · 02/03/2013 19:26

Hmmm Beksy I sort of know what you mean, I have one or two bras that dig into my ribs especially when I sit down and slouch. In fact I'm wearing one right now, and it is a touch too big in the band and small in the cup (weight loss followed by pregnancy messing me about!) But you feel you aren't filling the cup so that doesn't make sense...

Re soft cup, for big boobs I'd say they don't do much. But you aren't huge, and the most important thing is comfort...

It might be worth an online order in a mix of styles and sizes to find the right bra for you. Unless you are sick of the whole thing Confused

SorrelForbes · 02/03/2013 19:28

Read mine and Statistically's M&S fitting experience here

CelticPromise · 02/03/2013 19:28

Sparkle it's not just you! Grin

The top four on my ' threads I'm on' are all bra threads!

sparkle12mar08 · 02/03/2013 19:29

Blibblibs - Nothing specific - I just ordered one of everything in my size that came in under £20. I've promised myself I'll only keep the best two, assuming they're any good in the first place. Well, maybe three. Okay, four...

If you've more money to spend then they have some absolutely lovely designs in the £20-£30 bracket.

GoingVerySlowlyMad · 02/03/2013 19:30

Ok please may I have some more help? My measurements are 33 and 40 and was told to try 32F, 32FF, 34E and 34F. Went and tried on lots of bras and picked up 3 from M&S This and These. The 32F was the best best fit got them home and worn them both for an hour or so and at first were really comfy but the strap started to become excruciatingly painful at the fleshy bit of the underarm on both styles. Do I need to just persevere and wear them in oris there a fit problem?

HeavenlyWineandRoses · 02/03/2013 19:30

Oops, I failed to mention and thank statistically. Thank you too!

JeffTheGodOfBiscuits · 02/03/2013 19:31

What do you recommend for women (like me) where one side is a different size to the other side - I would say at least 1 and probably 2 cup size difference?

Cheeriostuckonsock · 02/03/2013 19:32

Sorrel, Celtic, Sparkle - Thank you so much for spending your precious time sorting out our norks... V much appreciated! Thanks

Beksybob · 02/03/2013 19:35

Ha! Definately not huge Grin I've seen men with bigger boobs than me.

Maybe I really just don't need one. They're lovely and pert without any help (for now - no kids yet!)

I'm a little bit over it, but I might have a go ordering more another day. Thanks for your help.

Cheeky bonus question Grin am about to spend a happy evening browsing tinterweb for 30F's... What other sizes do I need to order 'either side' of this, do you think?

sparkle12mar08 · 02/03/2013 19:47

You might want to try some 30FF, 28FF and 28G's as well.

CelticPromise · 02/03/2013 19:50

Jeff if you search these threads for marriednotdead she has written a great post about uneven breasts. The basic rule I think is fit the larger breast, pad the smaller if necessary.

Cheeriostuckonsock · 02/03/2013 19:51

Sparkle I'm on the case Wine

JeffTheGodOfBiscuits · 02/03/2013 19:54

Thank you, I will!

CelticPromise · 02/03/2013 19:56

Hmmm Going have you scooped with vigour? There is an element of wearing in but excruciating doesn't sound good.

Beksy one more suggestion. You could try bending the wires into shape if they are bothering you in a particular place.

WildThong · 02/03/2013 20:03

this one arrived today and its really nice on (34f)
These are going back, same size but band far too tight, wouldn't even meet!
tight
even tighter

blackteaplease · 02/03/2013 20:09

Can I get some advice too? I am in need of new nursing bras and measure at 32 41. I am currently wearing a 34E which is ok in the cup but too loose round the band.
