So I was reading that QI book that was 20p on the Kindle and it said that 1 in 10 babies born in Europe were conceived in an IKEA bed!

Frankly, I thought it'd be higher. 50% of my children were conceived in an IKEA bed. So, MN how many, if any, of your dcs were started in a MALM or an ASPELUND?

PS am stuck bored at home with a vomitty dd.

PPS Thank you to whoever it was who posted about those kindle books Grin

None. Mine is from Argos. Although pretty much everything else we own comes from IKEA.

weegiemum · 25/02/2013 11:01

All 3 of mine (though dd2 may have been the DFS sofa).

Ikea bed but not in ikea Grin

Did once see a couple snogging on a bed in the Glasgow shop though!

CailinDana · 25/02/2013 11:02

Both my two were. Rickety old Aspelund that can't really take the action anymore - about to fall apart I'd say Blush.

I'm stuck at home waiting for DC2 to make an appearance - she keeps pretending she's on her way then settles back down for another day of nothing.

GailTheGoldfish · 25/02/2013 11:02

Malm.

freddiefrog · 25/02/2013 11:02

None

DH and I have the most furious rows in IKEA, I think if we'd had to choose something as important as a bed in there, they'd never have been conceived, let alone in an IKEA bed Grin

Softlysoftly · 25/02/2013 11:05

None ours is feather and black

Sharksandfishes · 25/02/2013 11:05

No, neither of mine.

Randomly, someone got married in IKEA in Sydney on Valentines day! Hmm

LeMousquetaireAnonyme · 25/02/2013 11:05

1/2 of mine.

CashmereHoodlum · 25/02/2013 11:05

No.

RightUpMyRue · 25/02/2013 11:05

Neither. We have a Hilton bed.

MadCap · 25/02/2013 11:07

Did was actually conceived in a Hemnes in antique. Grin

dd not did. Though we obviously did. Blush

SPBInDisguise · 25/02/2013 11:09

Neither.
Though we did have to start sleeping on an Ikea futon when dd was a few months old as I broke the bed by leaping on it pretending to be a lion to make him laugh

PeppermintPasty · 25/02/2013 11:11

Oh, I thought you meant dtd in Ikea.

Disappointed.

ArbitraryUsername · 25/02/2013 11:11

I have a terrible ikea bed. Neither of my children were conceived in it though.

BitBewildered · 25/02/2013 11:13

Both of mine were. Aspelund, I think it is. It's getting a bit old now, and wobbles rather alarmingly if you're too, erm, vigorous.

SPBInDisguise · 25/02/2013 11:13

Ds not dd

MortifiedAdams · 25/02/2013 11:14

Aspelund for me! Only have one child so 100% of my babies were conceived in an IKEA bed.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 25/02/2013 11:15

None, as far as I know I have never DTD or even slept in an Ikea bed.

OldBeanbagz · 25/02/2013 11:15

Neither of my children were conceived in a Ikea bed.

I have the feeling that DD was conceived on a Heals sofa (not in the shop) and DS on DD's new bedroom rug. Obviously she wasn't in the room (or even in the house) at the time Blush

FakePlasticLobsters · 25/02/2013 11:15

None of mine.

I do like Ikea beds but we didn't like the idea of their beds and mattresses being different sizes to UK standard, meaning we had to exclusively buy bedding to fit from Ikea as well.

FrancesHouseman · 25/02/2013 11:15

Does IKEA bedding count? If so then it's possible, but my bed is from elsewhere.

willesden · 25/02/2013 11:17

I truly though Ikea was for students to buy cheap crappy furniture. Are all these babies being conceived by students?

Whyriskit · 25/02/2013 11:18

0/3. Unless the bed in the Paris hotel where we conceived DS2 was from Ikea.

gordyslovesheep · 25/02/2013 11:18

2 out of 3 ...middle one is a centre parcs baby!
