So I was reading that QI book that was 20p on the Kindle and it said that 1 in 10 babies born in Europe were conceived in an IKEA bed!

Frankly, I thought it'd be higher. 50% of my children were conceived in an IKEA bed. So, MN how many, if any, of your dcs were started in a MALM or an ASPELUND?

PS am stuck bored at home with a vomitty dd.

PPS Thank you to whoever it was who posted about those kindle books Grin

None. But both DDs were conceived between two Malms (bedside cabinets).

lynniep · 25/02/2013 14:11

actually yes, DS1 was possibly concieved in a Dalselv. Which is nice.

MrsKoala · 25/02/2013 14:14

We have a lovely big antique brass bed,but the mattress is ikea. Does that count?

SneezySnatcher · 25/02/2013 14:16

Both of mine - king size MALM!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 25/02/2013 14:16

I've never slept in an IKEA bed. I shall put it onto my to-do list.

2 pg in a Dreams bed.
2 mc in a Premier inn bed weirdly enough!

nipersvest · 25/02/2013 14:18

we have a malm bed now, but both dc's were conceived in our old, non-ikea bed.

Tee2072 · 25/02/2013 14:23

Nope. On sofa. Also not Ikea. Grin

DoingTheSwanThing · 25/02/2013 17:00

Nope, if I recall correctly our bed came from Argos. Althought that doesn't necessarily mean they were conceived in it! 2/3 beds in our house are from ikea though!

DoingTheSwanThing · 25/02/2013 17:02

Actually, being pedantic about it, conception occurs hours-days after DTD therefor the poll is invalid Wink

DoingTheSwanThing · 25/02/2013 17:06

Clearly not enough of a pendent to spell "therefore" correctly

burleyburley · 25/02/2013 17:21

DS & DD both Malm babies Smile

SomeBear · 25/02/2013 17:25

Both DDs were conceived in a £99 Argos bed (classy). DS was conceived in a four poster somewhere in the Lake District when were on holiday.

noyouhavehadawee · 25/02/2013 17:28

neither our bed is from MFI

Manchesterhistorygirl · 25/02/2013 17:31

Ds1 on my best friends bedroom floor, no she wasn't present.

Ds2 no again, Mfi bedstead and mattress from big old mill shop.

wonkylegs · 25/02/2013 17:34

None
ours was in a Barker & Stonehouse bed.

GlaikitFizzog · 25/02/2013 17:34

We have a malm now after we broke our last bed (discount pine warehouse place job) dtd, that we think resulted in DS! Now there is a story I can mortifying him with later in life .

So any further mini glaikits will be ikea babies!

I thought this thread was going to be you asking if you were mad to take dtd (darling twin daughters) to ikea on your own,how wrong was I?!

TeWiSavesTheDay · 25/02/2013 17:36

Weird!

I think our bed is too old for IKEA, PIL passed it down to us. How shall I phrase asking them where it came from?!

DD was conceived in my student house Blush

And a friend worked out DS was conceived when she was staying at our house BlushBlush

EvenIfYouSeeAPoppy · 25/02/2013 17:37

Both of mine in a Dalselv, which dc1 now sleeps in (new mattress!) If no. 3 comes along (hoping) he/she will have begun life's journey in a Malm.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 25/02/2013 17:37

My DS! Not hers.

Badvoc · 25/02/2013 17:38

Nope.
Ds1 - dfs sofa
Ds2 - m&s sofa bed

BabyMakesTheBellyGoRound · 25/02/2013 18:16

No IKEA bed here but I conceived one on my exs sofa, next two on a bed from a local furniture shop and last one was in a vw Passat.

LaurieFairyCake · 25/02/2013 18:18

Does fucking on the stairs count? Wink

12ylnon · 25/02/2013 18:21

Yes, but just DS2 though... in an Aspelund too!
