To ask you answer my little straw poll about Ikea and dtd

So I was reading that QI book that was 20p on the Kindle and it said that 1 in 10 babies born in Europe were conceived in an IKEA bed!

Frankly, I thought it'd be higher. 50% of my children were conceived in an IKEA bed. So, MN how many, if any, of your dcs were started in a MALM or an ASPELUND?

PS am stuck bored at home with a vomitty dd.

DD2 was conceived in/on a Malm!

None of mine. We only got Ikea in Ireland since I finished reproducing.

Dd and ds1 were conceived in our rented flat so most likely Argos.

Ds2 on a 50 year old sprung frame metal monstrosity on loan from my parents.

Sadly no babies have been or will be conceived on our lovely new acacia wood superking bed that we got after ds2 was born.

DS3 was conceived on a John Lewis dining room chair.

All 4 of mine I think were conceived in the same Ikea bed. I think only because I don't know which actual dtd was when each was conceived except dc4.

I got myself a new bed 2 years ago once we knew there would be no more minirolls

Not sure exactly which occasion I conceived on but yes it's more than likely that both times it occurred on an ikea bed.

Homebase here. It was reduced because of a chip in the wood, got it for a tenner. Bargain of the century.

Yep, in a Malm. That we got rid of during my pregnancy and bought something much nicer!

Neither of mine were. Think DD2 was conceived on an Ikea sofa, though. DD1 was most probably conceived in the garden. My bed is an antique super-king sleigh-bed which cost £100 in a second-hand shop and creaks too loudly to bonk in

Our bed was from Texas Homeware (remember them ? ) IIRC they went out of business in the 1990s.

We still have that bed been sleeping in it for 23 years

We have a superking now to fit the intruders in. IKEA don't do beds that big!

Horatia, I wish we had a superking, one our little intruders chucked her guts all over our double at 5 am which meant we all had to get up. DH is away for work tonight. lucky bastard

I only have one child but she may have been concieved in an Ikea bed but as we were young and in love she could also have been concieved on the floor, couch, dining table, kitchen worktop or even the local rugby club disclaimer I worked there we were alone and the door was locked
