So I was reading that QI book that was 20p on the Kindle and it said that 1 in 10 babies born in Europe were conceived in an IKEA bed!

Frankly, I thought it'd be higher. 50% of my children were conceived in an IKEA bed. So, MN how many, if any, of your dcs were started in a MALM or an ASPELUND?

PS am stuck bored at home with a vomitty dd.

PPS Thank you to whoever it was who posted about those kindle books Grin

Only one of my 3 DCs have been conceived in my home, I couldn't tell you if it was actually in my non ikea bed though.

CailinDana · 25/02/2013 11:18

Practically my entire house is furnished from Ikea. It's not top quality but it's all we could afford.

TWinklyLittleStar · 25/02/2013 11:19

I am having trouble conceiving; perhaps I need to chuck my (wonderful Warren Evans) bed and get an Ikea bed Grin

Jins · 25/02/2013 11:20

100% here!

CailinDana · 25/02/2013 11:21

The creaking and threat of imminent collapse does lend a certain urgency to the whole affair Twinkly - might be just what you need!

Good luck with TTC :) Hope it happens soon.

MadCap · 25/02/2013 11:21

Gordy, I thought you couldn't get pregnant having sex at centerparcs? Smile

OP posts:
piprabbit · 25/02/2013 11:22

Neither.

fluffyraggies · 25/02/2013 11:22

None of mine.

1 and 3 were conceived betwen Ikea bedside tables though.

Any good?

(no.2 was conceived in a hotel room)

TapselteerieO · 25/02/2013 11:23

None here, only my dd has an ikea bed ( convertible one bought ten years ago) and she doesn't sleep on it any more - it is a spare for sleepovers. Ikea is too far way, so I reckon only people close to Glasgow/ Edinburgh shop there in Scotland.

GrandPoohBah · 25/02/2013 11:25

Yup, in a Malm.

LaundryFairy · 25/02/2013 11:27

Yup, DS is one of the 10%.

Whyriskit · 25/02/2013 11:28

Tapselteerie - there is a fb campaign to get an Ikea in Aberdeen though!

PinsAndNoodles · 25/02/2013 11:34

Habitat darling.

ByTheWay1 · 25/02/2013 11:39

Shock I also have a CenterParcs baby.... (I know - we must have been doing it wrong ;) )

And a honeymoon in Sorrento baby - so no IKEA for us.....

blackeyedsusan · 25/02/2013 11:41

depends where the owner of the holiday cottage bought the bed i suppose. I did not think to ask!

ourr bed is not ikea.

OneHundredSecondsofSolitude · 25/02/2013 11:41

I have not the faintest notion where our children were conceived. Is that odd?

EuroShaggleton · 25/02/2013 11:44

Nope, not unless IKEA have started supplying IVF clinics.

celebmum · 25/02/2013 11:45

neither.. our bed is from Dreams.. both concieved in/on that Grin

weegiemum · 25/02/2013 11:48

Wouldnt IKEA ivf be cheaper?

stealthsquiggle · 25/02/2013 11:48

0% of ours.

DC1 in all probability ikea bedding, but not bed (we don't own any ikea beds, although plenty of other stuff..)

DC2 on Park Lane (not literally on the road - in a hotel on Park Lane). That is a fact I always fear I may share during a game of Monopoly, but I haven't yet.

Chopsypie · 25/02/2013 11:52

0% of ours.
Although DC2 was conceived on an ikea sofa

firawla · 25/02/2013 11:53

1 out of 3

Startail · 25/02/2013 11:54

No, now if you could have sex in a book case or the dinning table??

Knittingnovice · 25/02/2013 11:55

None here, although our first bed was an ikea one.

DS in the crowne plaza in reading after Liverpool v reading in 2007
DD on the living room floor
DC3 in an Argos super king size bed

Notanexcitingname · 25/02/2013 11:55

Neither. Our bed was made by FIL-is that worse?
DS2 was conceived on the floor, I suspect
