To be tempted to take grapes back to the market stall I bought them from before Xmas

And ask them what the frig they've done to them because they're not off yet!?

Bought them 2 weeks before Xmas at the fruit stall inside the hospital I go to, just past Xmas it ended up as a bit of a joke as they hadn't gone off yet but we kept them to see how long they could possibly last.

The buggers show no sign of ever dying! Confused

Are they naff plastic ones?

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 22/02/2013 01:13

No! I ate a couple when we got them. They've been in the fridge but never the freezer.

Doubletroublemummy2 · 22/02/2013 01:16

how do they taste?

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 22/02/2013 01:18

No idea, I'm not chancing that!

They still look like normal green grapes though, not wrinkled or brown or anything.

Booyhoo · 22/02/2013 01:22

that is odd! you have to keep them and bring us weekly updates with photos of their state. i will be sad when they die. Grin

ChaosTrulyReigns · 22/02/2013 01:22

Have you still got the packaging?

Does it say "harvested in Chernobyl"?

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 22/02/2013 01:24

Booyhoo I'll take some pictures tomorrow. :o

Chaos I still have the packaging, don't think it will say that but I wouldn't be surprised if they were!

Eeek very strange.

Looking forward to pictures though. Grin

Booyhoo · 22/02/2013 01:27

I suspect the packaging may say "for display purposes only DO NOT EAT" Grin

Dryjuice25 · 22/02/2013 01:28

Probably being plumped up by horse juice Grin

Doubletroublemummy2 · 22/02/2013 01:28

hhhmm interesting! horse grapes?

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 22/02/2013 01:28

Y'know Chaos I actually just went and checked the packaging, that's how barmy confused these grapes have made me. Hmm

Curious This is when I wake up in the morning and they've turned into a rotten mess!

this has reminded me. has anyone seen a thing on FB where someone has carried out an 'experiment' with burgers and chips from McDs, wendys and another fast food place (not sure which). they've basically kept the food for 2 years and it hasn't gone bad at all. even the burger buns didn't mould. i was wondering if it was real or just a fake. does anyone know?

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 22/02/2013 01:30

"Horse juice"... :o

They are definitely not fecking plastic, I have eaten some of them 2 whole months ago.

Booyhoo · 22/02/2013 01:31

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 22/02/2013 01:32

Natasha That would be an experience, get pissed on grapes.

Booyhoo Seriously?! Shock

I bet if you had eaten then you'd never ever be hungry again! They are Super Grapes harvested from sanctified fields of Holyland. I've heard they make the most delectible white wine.

Go and get some more. Make wine out of them Grin

Stop trying to tempt me, nothing in the world is going to make me eat these things.

Boo Just asked DP (ex burger king worker), he hasn't heard of the experiment but has never seen a mouldy BK burger or bun, he said they threw the buns out when they went hard but he's never seen any mouldy.

Weird fast food!

Booyhoo · 22/02/2013 01:39

yes, well that's what the link said. it was to prove how it isn't real food and telling us not to feed it to our our children. McDs never lasts long enough in my house to see if any mould grows but i'm tempted now to buy a big mac and see how it looks after a few weeks.

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 22/02/2013 01:40

Holy christ that's worse than the grapes!

Mcds sell grapes don't they? Wonder if theirs go off, maybe I could make some money from them. :o

yes that's the photo i saw. four restaurants. i thought it was three. how scary is that? and someone said their boyfriend has been doing it 3 years and no mould? i was taking a craving for KFC hotwings but someone put a thing on FB saying that they cant even use the word chicken in any of their advertising or signs anymore because they dont use real chicken at all i'm having second thoughts. i was disbelieving but after this other experiment looking pretty true i'm starting to wonder.
