I've been on MN for about a year. I get involved in & start threads. I'm addicted enjoying the site yet I don't ever seem to be included in the group banter that comes from the evolution of a thread, despite trying to involve myself.

I think I can be quite funny this might be where the problem lies, maybe only I am of that opinion and I'm pretty much socially trained. So I'm thinking maybe I am in actual fact made not real

Maybe you need to get some abandoned kittens, an abandoned crow, have a stand off with an unreasonable driver who refuses to reverse to a passing place, and give everyone virtual snogs! That seems to work!

(Some of threads that seemed to make people a name - Pinot with the kittens, Kung fu panda with the unreasonable driver!)

I wouldn't worry about it. There are literally thousands of people here posting. I quite often read a post and think "Good point!", but unless I'm posting something myself tend not to post to say that or to name check. Might look like no one listened or noticed but they did.

Thanks everyone for your input, it does put it all into perspective when you think how many people are on MN. I guess I was wondering if other's had similar experience, I tend to think about random stuff.

I'm not sure I can do this, or if it's bad practice (maybe another problem for me is I'm not entirely up to speed with the whole politics of MN) but I just want to respond to posters and instead of starting a new post for each, I'm hoping I can do so in one post? I'm sure if I'm out of line, the more experienced of you can slap my wrist . Apologies in advance if this is isn't on.
