(Lighthearted with a paranoid undertone)

I've been on MN for about a year. I get involved in & start threads. I'm addicted enjoying the site yet I don't ever seem to be included in the group banter that comes from the evolution of a thread, despite trying to involve myself.

I think I can be quite funny this might be where the problem lies, maybe only I am of that opinion and I'm pretty much socially trained. So I'm thinking maybe I am in actual fact made not real Grin

shite, I'm a social outcast, aren't I? Hmm

I do Grin I take some pride in the fact I managed to make 2 major mistakes before I even posted my first word story of my life

Even in the virtual world I am socially inept!

I have numbers in my name to. Can I be included in the numbers gang?

I actually think in strike-throughs & get very upset when I can't use them in texts.

Thank fuck I'm not alone in my love of strikethroughs! I, too, often think in strikethroughs it also pisses me off that it's not an option for Facebook Grin

I'm off to tell DP that I do have bloody pals Wink

It was a few months ago, I can't remember who it was who suggested it or on which thread, but then I searched a few of your threads and started to worry Grin then someone pointed out that you are probably the same age as me...

I'm so totally over it and you can have my therapists number if you like Grin

I once went for dinner with my best friend and the waiter made some comment about me being her mother.

I wouldn't mind but I was around 29 at the time and she is only 2 years younger Shock I thought I looked good for my age until that night.

My dh is approaching a rather special birthday so you can imagine his shock and my raucous laughter when he opened the door to a salesman to be met with "good evening, are your folks in?". He was affronted and salesman went away with his tail between his legs.

Dh is a grumpy old git, the guy would have got a better response if he'd said that to me Wink

itsall I clicked on your thread because I thought it was the best thread title ever! I think you need to write a book of that name, which will be made into an arty film starring Scarlett Johanson maybe? And will go on to win an Oscar of course.
