We passed a Prius (pious) yesterday sporting a bumper sticker which declared in a multi-Pastel hues "born at home". AIBU to think this may be the smuggest car in Great Britain and should fuck off. (Lighthearted thread. Smile)

What does it mean? Manufactured in GB?

BigShinyBaubles · 30/12/2012 21:32

Giving birth to probably the ugliest car on the planet is nothing to be proud of..pmsl (Im new to MN...am I allowed a Psml?!)

sneezecakesmum · 30/12/2012 21:36

Apparently its made in Sunderland according to big head DH.

For one horrifying moment I thought it meant the mother/driver had a home birth and was declaring it to the world Shock

KittyFane1 · 30/12/2012 21:39

Bigshiney :)
I am obviously stupid as Toyota is Made in Japan/USA primarily (thank you google). So the sticker referring to a baby?! Smug Mum and Dad's sticker totally wasted on the likes of me then Hmm!

marquesas · 30/12/2012 21:40

I'm pretty sure the Toyota factory is near Derby, it's Nissans that are made in Sunderland.

No idea what the sticker means.

KittyFane1 · 30/12/2012 21:41

Post sneeze Ahh, Sunderland! So it is the car 'born' at home. Grin Either way, who gives a ... Stupid sticker!

KittyFane1 · 30/12/2012 21:42

Born in Derby. That sticker is useless! Grin

KenDoddsDadsDog · 30/12/2012 21:43

Defo not made in Sunderland. We make Nissans.

ratbagcatbag · 30/12/2012 21:43

Toyota is definately in Derby, but don't know which models they manufacture there. Also thought it meant something to do with babies :)

marquesas · 30/12/2012 21:45

Actually google suggests that the sticker probably does refer to a home birth - there are lots of different versions.

Who on earth would want to announce that on their car bumper? Confused

KittyFane1 · 30/12/2012 21:45

Maybe the baby and the car were 'born' in Derby

KittyFane1 · 30/12/2012 21:46

Marq really?

BigShinyBaubles · 30/12/2012 21:46

I've no idea where its built I'm afraid!

PickledInAPearTree · 30/12/2012 21:46

Maybe the baby was born in the car? That would be impressive.

marquesas · 30/12/2012 21:49

Was it this one Oscar?

Santasapunkatheart · 30/12/2012 21:49

I think it's a midwife sticker. But I prefer this one:

Smug, lentil-weaving fuck heads

Bet they ate the placenta

marquesas · 30/12/2012 21:56

Who knew such thing even existed, love yours Santa

KittyFane1 · 30/12/2012 21:56

Wouldn't go that far catgirl Hmm

Egusta · 30/12/2012 21:57

Bloody hell, those t-shirts.

They are making me quite seriously pissed off.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 30/12/2012 22:01

That takes smuggerytwat to new levels

Startail · 30/12/2012 22:01

My DSIS and DD2 would amend the sticker to read

"All the best babies are born at home!"

But clearly DD1 and Me would have to thump themWink

Now "Home Birth Rocks" might make a good bumper sticker.

As would "Boobs forever"

And despite this I only very occasionally eat lentils and I've never weaved any.

KittyFane1 · 30/12/2012 22:05

star: "All the best babies are born at home!" Grin
