(purely out of interest/boredem)

I can't sleep. I did a silly thing this morning and had a lay in. I didn't have ds and so didn't set my alarm. I woke at 1:15pm (i don't think I've done that since I, well, never, probably not even as a teen, my mother would never have allowed it).
Now I'm paying the consequences, I've been in bed since 11pm and I'm wide awake. I've tossed and turned, I put the telly on, I've read, I've laid like a plank etc but alas nothing.

Why are you awake?

Veritate · 30/12/2012 03:10

Got a vile sore throat which I've had for two weeks. After tossing and turning a bit I got up to get some painkillers and am now waiting for them to kick in.

Tortington · 30/12/2012 03:10

scrabble

MichelleRooJnr · 30/12/2012 03:11

I can't sleep any more.
Prem menopause makes sleep sweatily, itchily, hotly impossible.
So I stay up til I'm dropping, then go to bed and read kindle til eyes close, then lie in far too late on a weekend then spend all week knackered!

MrsRhettButler · 30/12/2012 03:11

Been at work, need to wind down, not been on MN for weeks (which I have no good excuse for) so I thought I'd take a look and now I can't get away!

EMS23 · 30/12/2012 03:12

Non sleeping children. I dream about lie ins till 7am, 1.15pm is amazing!!!

flyingspaghettimonster · 30/12/2012 03:12

MrsRhettButler · 30/12/2012 03:13

Feeding the baby.

KitchenandJumble · 30/12/2012 03:14

I'm in a different time zone. It's only 9:15 p.m. here. But I've been up since 4:00 a.m. so I'm fading fast.

twigsinajug · 30/12/2012 03:14

Went to bed about ten. Dh came to bed about two and woke me up getting into bed. So Now I'm wide awake and he's snoring for England.

ChippingInLovesChristmasLights · 30/12/2012 03:14

I'm stupid.

I've been out all day, just got home (11pm) and I was determined not to MN, so put the TV on to wind down a bit, then thought of something I needed to do online and of course MN was open... hence still being here 4 hrs later. I am tired, but not sleepy and it's got to the stage where it's just more effort to go to bed than to stay here

Oh and I can't even remember what it was I needed to do online Hmm

TraineeBabyCatcher · 30/12/2012 03:15

EMS I had to check the alarm twice this morning afternoon, when I woke, as I thought it said 1:15am. I was amazed when I realised. 7am is normally a lay in for me aswell, and even when I don't have ds normally I'm awake by 9 at the very latest, often before.

19 week old dd is wide awake thinking it's the middle of the day. She's slept through from 7pm-6am for last 2 weeks....pleeeease don't let this be a regression I was quite happy with the old plan!

StrawberrytallCAKE · 30/12/2012 03:16

Just fed 3 week old dd and she's asleep on my chest, I should really put her in her moses basket to sleep but she's too cute and the cuddle is lovely.

soontobeburns · 30/12/2012 03:17

3 month old woke for a feed. He normally wakes at 2, but it was 2:45 today. Hoping he goes a bit longer tomorrow......
