to not stop with the laundry on Christmas Day?

My washing machine is my best friend. Sad

I think he'd feel lonely if his knobs weren't twiddled with on Crhistmas Day.

I don't think I could survive the guilt of feeling he was neglected.

I'll bet I'm not the only one...

Some people do too much laundry - odd how they create so much!

To keep up with laundry I need to do about 8 loads a week for 5 people.

I had to do laundry today as my toddler vomited over everything and managed to create a full load as he had on an open winter coat, and then I picked him up as he was hysterical so got covered too, so in both our cases clothes underneath and the coats - jury's out over whether it was too much cake or another bug, but as he's already had a stomach bug it wouldn't be at all fair if he's got it again/ another one! :(

I need to do a lot of washing per week as dh plays football twice a week and goes to the gym 4 mornings a week so has lots of dirty gym/football kit. I also do fitness classes 4 times a week so have dirty kit as well. Add in dh's work shirts and the dc's school uniforms plus gymnastics and swimming stuff and you have loads of dirty washing. Towels get washed when they are too wet to dry any more and bedding is washed every couple of weeks.

I need to do at least 1 wash per day to keep up and the laundry baskets are never ever empty. If I miss a day I need to do about 4 loads the next day.

Another contender for the MN things-that-can-be-done-in-5-minutes olympics!

Other events include, changing a bed, showering (including hair washing), changing shitty nappies...

How the balls can you empty a full washing machine twice and hang both loads up in 5 minutes?

I'm definitely doing it wrong. Xmas Confused

My husband and I share a towel. We get about 3 days from it before its washed. It's massive and fluffy.

I didn't need to do a wash load but did handwash daughter's bonnet, scarf and mittens. I took the opportunity as we wouldn't be crossing the door for once.

mumnotmachine- do you all share one towel in your family?

Mrsrudolphduvall · 26/12/2012 09:04

Yes I have my second load on at the moment.
