to be annoyed that it's easier for fat women than for short women to buy clothes.

A new Simply Be has opened here. We now have that and Evans. I should imagine the moderately stout can get into clothes in most shops. If you're short, there are rarely dedicated shops and the choice is limited and twee.
Obviously there is money to be made in the plus size market. It's just one of life's unfairnesses that the cake munchers are rewarded for their lack of self control with clothes to fit them.

Ah but fat people spend all their money on food so they don't have any left to buy clothes

They're all naked, and covered in crumbs.

Why only yesterday I found a bourbon beneath my left bosom, when the wind blew it backwards over my head, as I stomped about clothlessly in my garden.

I wish I was small and thin and bitter like you op Sad

Caerlaverock · 01/11/2012 15:56

Blessed are the cake munchers for they shall inherit the girth

SoleSource · 01/11/2012 15:57

No Empress cos I am 20 stones :(

Narked · 01/11/2012 16:00

If you can't muster the willpower to grown a few inches, that's your problem.

Enigmosaurus · 01/11/2012 16:00

Woe is you OP.

Woeeeeeeeeeeeee.

motherinferior · 01/11/2012 16:01

I have to point out it is actually profoundly annoying to find that many dresses have waistlines around your hips.

Narked · 01/11/2012 16:03

Look! Most retailers have ranges for the vertically challenged.

goinnowhere · 01/11/2012 16:03

Some of you are brilliant!
Not the OP obvs. Do you think thst is the cause if the obesity issue in the UK? Everyone can't wait to get their hands on s bit of Evans.

Diana2000 · 01/11/2012 16:04

YABU

You're just using your grievance as an excuse to have a pop at fat people.

Have you tried dungarees?

PackItInNow · 01/11/2012 16:09

YANBU to an extent, but if I was you I'd be apologising for the "cake munchers" comment as it was offensive to some folk on here.

I'm a shortie myself. I had to go to Dunnes Stores for my jeans and the shortest leg length they had was 29" FFS. I'm a 26" leg and can't buy kids clothes as they're too small in the waist. I'm the height of an average 10/11yo.

I farking hate clothes shopping. It's a bloody pain in the arse when you need nice clothes, but find that the adult section is too big and the kids section is too small a fit.

ambkad · 01/11/2012 16:09

Everyone on this thread has made me laugh so much im choking on my bourbons

Enigmosaurus · 01/11/2012 16:10

Proper laughed at that Narked!

What annoys me is that petite ranges generally stop at an 18, if not a 16.

What about the cakemunchers who are also midgets?

gordyslovesheep · 01/11/2012 16:10

maybe school uniform?

BupcakesAndHaunting · 01/11/2012 16:11

Why don't you go to the fucking Build a Bear workshop for your wardrobe OP, you whiny little munchkin?

scentednappyhag · 01/11/2012 16:11

Ivor, please marry me.
Grin

motherinferior · 01/11/2012 16:12

Actually I have no idea why I am whingeing as most of my clothes are purchased in the local charity emporia Grin

GwendolineScaryLacey · 01/11/2012 16:13

I'm a short fat person. My trouser bottoms drag along the ground a bit but I fucking love cake. Might go and eat some more. Yum :)

Mrsrobertduvallsaysboo · 01/11/2012 16:13

I am waiting for op to have a pop at those of us with big feet.
How dare we, clown footed bastards.

moxiemonster · 01/11/2012 16:26

Yes that's the other irritating thing - these shops seem to cater for the short and fat. They must see a correlation between shortness and a predilection for the Dairy Milk.

ambkad · 01/11/2012 16:28

I'm short and fat; meatball problems.
