To think Peaches Geldof should have strapped her baby in?

and also, put the phone down when her baby fell out of his pram!

Have just seen photos of her poor baby tumbling out of his pram onto a pavement. I know the council should have sorted the pavement out, but he wouldnt have fallen out if he was strapped in :(

sorry for The Sun link

Ive just read all the storey of Yates and hutchence online and watched the big breakfast interview (because I love a good love story)

NB this has nothing to do with the thread

I would like to see that story hashed out on the relatuonship board!!! There is nothing nice about that story at all!

Emmielu · 10/09/2012 19:30

When dd was younger and still in a pushchair, she was forward facing strapped in, and as i crossed the road, the wheel got stuck in a pot hole. DD and pushchair fell into the road. Things like this do happen.

Emmielu · 10/09/2012 19:31

And yes ok he fell out but pushchair still would have tipped over!

RobinSparkles · 10/09/2012 19:39

Kayano, I was only teasing.

Nancy66 · 10/09/2012 19:44

Hmm - i get a bad feeling about Peaches.
Would love to think she's cleaned up her act....just don't believe she has

Lara2 · 10/09/2012 19:48

We must all do stupid things when we're new mums. I remember holding DS1 and the (very light) carseat transferring him and the seat to the childminder's car. They both started slipping and I actually remember thinking "Shit! The car seat will break and it cost a fortune!" !!!!! WTF!!! I dropped the seat and saved DS you'll be glad to hear, but I did waver over which one to drop for a fraction of a second.

Kayano · 10/09/2012 19:52

I've done that. Dd was sick once and instead of 'oh dd you've been sick'

I was all 'noooo... The expensive pushchair!!!' and caught all of the sick

Lol

I know several of the Geldof family through a professional connection. They are all appalling, and if they didn't have trust funds they'd be ASBO kids. Peaches has form for theft and drugs. I fear for that baby's future, I really do.

The thing I find most disturbing is not the mistake Peaches made in failing to strap him in, but the total refusal to take any responsibility for that mistake. She had lied and misled even when the whole world can see she's not telling the truth.

That is not normal behaviour.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 10/09/2012 19:55

How very "professional" to come onto an internet forum to slag them off.

thisoldgirl · 10/09/2012 19:56

All the people posting on here admitting to having been similarly careless are also expressing feelings of guilt and mortification. That is normal. To express no guilt or distress at all? That just gives me the heebie jeebies.

thisoldgirl · 10/09/2012 19:58

The Geldof family should try being nicer to their staff and business associates if they want nice things said about them, hobnob. They're vile.

gordyslovesheep · 10/09/2012 19:59

who cares - she made a mistake - sorry she didn't walk through cyber spaces in virtual sack cloth beating herself with twigs for the satisfaction of the curtain twitchers but there you go - no one died - move on

Emmielu · 10/09/2012 20:08

thisoldgirl - how do you know she didnt express guilt? She looked mortified to me when i saw the pics in the DM. This is what the press do. They take a long series of pictures and pick out the most shocking and often not in the right order because that is what makes it look the most attracting to readers.

BegoniaBampot · 10/09/2012 20:09

how do you know she expressed no guilt or distress at all? Or does she have to do it publicly, maybe she could sit in the stocks as well. Why do you care so much? why the hell am I even getting bothered by this? Never been interested in PG in my life.

Perriwinkle · 10/09/2012 20:16

She tried to push into the EasyJet speeding boarding queue last month - I didn't let her but some people behind me in the queue clearly did because she got on the plane not long after I did. She seemed like a very caring mother but she's got an irritating sense of entitlement.
__

Oh FFS I've heard it all now. Plenty of people will chance their arm and try to push in front of you in the EasyJet queue. They don't have a sense of entitlement, they're just pushing in. It's what people do. It's fankly pathetic that people are now resorting to saying just about anything to slag this poor woman off.

There but for the grace of god go you smug, judgemental typical "Mumsnetters" I say.

Kayano · 10/09/2012 20:35

There is a whole thread ATM about pushing in the queue. Why don't you go check out how many people see it as entitled?

Kayano · 10/09/2012 20:35

It's the taxi thread

Sparklingbrook · 10/09/2012 20:37

A thread about pushing in in queues? Blimey MN is dull at the moment.....

Kayano · 10/09/2012 20:40

There is a real sock puppet on that one by all accounts

That thread is 23 pages long. Shock

DowagersHump · 10/09/2012 20:43

Perriwinkle - they're all fucking entitled fucknuts then. I've never seen anyone do it as blatantly as they did.

She is a very wealthy young woman who is famous for not very much. She's always been famous. I've met a lot of slebs and some of them are entitled fucknuts and some are charming. She falls into the former category. I'm not remotely surprised - she's grown up never having to queue, always being made a priority. It's what she's used to. But if you're going to fly sleazy, you queue like the other suckers.

And ffs lighten up. Really - she lives for column inches. Take your pursed lips elsewhere.
