To think Peaches Geldof should have strapped her baby in?

and also, put the phone down when her baby fell out of his pram!

Have just seen photos of her poor baby tumbling out of his pram onto a pavement. I know the council should have sorted the pavement out, but he wouldnt have fallen out if he was strapped in :(

sorry for The Sun link

Her mum died.

When she was 11 years old.

Don't be so fucking horrible.

Sparklingbrook · 10/09/2012 18:18

Kayano that is a horrible thing to say.

5madthings · 10/09/2012 18:18

you havent but others have, see above ^^

and i disagree that it was shit parenting, it was an accident that could happen to any parent.

i havent ever watched any of her stuff on tv either, i didnt even know she had a tv prog. i just dont see the point in criticising her for something that was an accident, and can and does happen to many parents.

if it happened to a friend of yours kayano would you tell them it was shit parenting?

5madthings · 10/09/2012 18:20

or rather see on the previous page re comments on her clothing.

adn regardelss of any faults of her mothers, losing any parent as a child is a horrible thing to experience.

limitedperiodonly · 10/09/2012 18:21

Save your sympathy prairie. Speaking as a journalist I suspect the TV crew were delighted that Peaches Geldof was a bit of a madam.

What TV company would have paid for an hour of Peaches explaining her plans to solve the deficit?

limitedperiodonly · 10/09/2012 18:22

Nice to see you've managed to stop sobbing about your own heartache Kayano

Kayano · 10/09/2012 18:23

Look I'm not the one who brought up her mother in the first place

Nor her clothes

All I said was she should take ownership of her mistakes

LynetteScavo · 10/09/2012 18:24

Important things first;

She actually looks amazing in those photos. Envy

Personally I always strapped my babies in. Silvercross prams with no harnesses for newborns always gave me the willies. I was terrified the baby would either bounce out when going up and down a curb, or be snatched by a passer by.

She chose not to use the straps, and has learned the hard way.

But not dropping your phone to pick up your baby? Confused I really, really don't get that. Confused

RobinSparkles · 10/09/2012 18:27

Omg, is this thread still going?! Who actually really gives a shit?

Kayano, have you never been ashamed of something/so mortified that you told a fib to cover something up. I think that I probably have and I probably would do if I was famous, to protect my rep.

She's probably sick of the public waiting for her to fail so told a little lie about him being strapped in. When she realised that people knew that he wasn't covered it with "oh, erm, they popped open." it's hardly earth shattering!

I do feel sorry for her. Yes, we barely hear about her siblings but I bet if this happened to them it would be printed too. If it happened to one of us it would be forgotten quickly.

Kayano · 10/09/2012 18:28

Sorry am I supposed to say her mother was an ideal role Model when she died of a heroin overdose that even the corinor ruled 'foolish'

I'm not saying it wasn't hard but do you honestly expect me to say that's an ideal admosphere for any child?

You are delusional

I suspect she might have been through a lot before her mother died

EverlongYouAreGoldAndOrange · 10/09/2012 18:31

kayono

It was her mum.

It doesn't matter why she died.

Peaches lost her mum at 11. Think about that for a minute will you.

Or are you determined to come across as a heartless and very cold woman. Oh and that's me being kind.

Prarieflower · 10/09/2012 18:33

I have friends who have lost parents, they still manage to treat people with respect.

Limited I stumbled on said doc if you're interested.

NCForNow · 10/09/2012 18:33

Kayano just...yuk at your nasty comments.

MNhoneydragonHQ · 10/09/2012 18:34

I always used to read Paula Yates column in Family Circle, she always came across as a very normal down to earth parent who did normal mum stuff with her dcs.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 10/09/2012 18:35

Fuck me Kayano you really are not coming across well on this thread.

Kayano · 10/09/2012 18:35

I know it was her mum

I've said it must have been very very hard

All I said was that she also wasn't the ideal role model (which is true ffs if ou take heroine and you are a mother you have fucked up priorities)

And I want the one who brought it up. Again just saying not a good role
Model for her growing up either Hmm

Do you think she was?

MNhoneydragonHQ · 10/09/2012 18:35

I miss Family Circle Sad

LadyBeagleEyes · 10/09/2012 18:35

"I suspect she might have been through a lot before her mother died".
Yes I suspect she might have too. All the more reason for a bit of kindness and sympathy, surely?
She didn't choose her upbringing and if she went of the rails a bit it's totally understandable.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 10/09/2012 18:37

Do you know what kayano I hate to break it to you but you will do things as a parent that people will judge e.g. bf/ff , you seem happy to dish but very unwilling to take.

DreamsTurnToGoldDust · 10/09/2012 18:38

Jesus, Kayano do you want to stoop any lower to get your pathetic point across, yuk

Kayano · 10/09/2012 18:39

I'm not bothered really, I've explained things numerous times

I don't think peaches is a shit parent - I think this incident and not strapping your baby in was an incident of shit parenting

She has never on twitter acknowledged that perhaps she should have not been on the phone and paying attention

It was very hard for her without a
Mum (although why this was brought up I don't know it wasn't me)

I don't think a heroin addict makes a good
Role model no. I'm astounded so many seem to think I'm wrong on that

EverlongYouAreGoldAndOrange · 10/09/2012 18:39

Probably won't surprise you but yes I liked Paula Yates. I grew up watching her on The Tube and then on Big Breakfast.

Obviously she made some mistakes.

But who can hold their hand up and say they haven't. Not me.

It was sad for all the girls.

RobinSparkles · 10/09/2012 18:40

And what have we learned today boys and girls?

Don't take Heroin as you might cause your DGS to be accidentally thrown from his pram. Hmm

Kayano · 10/09/2012 18:40

I didn't bring it up. I haven't stooped anywhere just responded

EverlongYouAreGoldAndOrange · 10/09/2012 18:41

Oh who has been looking after your baby whilst you've been venting your spleen all day?

awaits eruption
