Occasionally I can be bothered to defend/argue my point.

Mostly my conscious gets the better of me and I decide to go and do the rl things I need to be doing.

I actually find I don't have all that much respect for people who are willing to argue the toss on here for days on end, rather than just shrugging and walking away.

The thing I most respect about history is that they used to have wine running through the public water conduits when they were celebrating something, how cool would that have been?

To be serious for a moment ( )... I remember when I first joined there was a massive bunfight (or seemed like it to a non seasoned at the time poster!) about posters calling other posters pretentious because they used to ask for studies to back up their claims all the time. Was quite scary to read as I thought omg I dont have studies to back up my opinions!! and didnt want to post in case I was asked for one! There was lots of article/academic paper links everywhere as well.

I think MN is a bit crazy at the moment, and I think it's because so many kids at home for so many weeks has drained patience from us all. Just a theory; I have no peer-reviewed double-blind studies to back it up.

I did actually agree with the laundry threads OP, but it'd got too long and I didn't have time to post and defend myself but I did feel sorry for her - until she took it elsewhere.
