NoSex · 13/08/2012 19:54

My dh will not have sex with me when i am on a period, I respect that it make him feel grossed out, but I am on for 5-7 days which is IMO a long time with out sex :(

Aibu to think a grown man should not be freaked out by a bit of blood

i find im more keen on sex the week of my period

my partner dosent give a monkeys about a period

and also enjoys giving me oral while im "on" Grin

ColourMeWithChaos · 13/08/2012 23:57

We don't - I just don't feel turned on at all during my period.

I get cramps, pain and massive bloat so the thought of sex is not particularly appealing.

Wouldn't say it was disgusting though.

sashh · 14/08/2012 05:36

OK, subsidury question for those who don't.

A lot of women are randy just before their period, if you start part way through sex do you stop?

bubalou · 14/08/2012 06:53

I think it's up to the individual. I'm not gonna lie - 5 days without sex even having DS & being married 5 years is a long stretch for me & a struggle. But I know that DH doesn't want to do it during AF.

However like someone said I have so much pain the 1st few days it's not on my mind. (I say currently clutching my hot water bottle) oooowwwwww!!!!!! Sad

FamiliesShareGerms · 14/08/2012 07:02

I'm still struggling with the thought that going 5-7 days without sex is a long time. Really???!!

TeamGBsometimes · 14/08/2012 08:23

Everyone who doesn't like sex on their period should steer clear of mirena. I had mine put in a month ago, and am still bleeding. Of course, I'm living in hope that once it settles, I shall never or at least rarely see another period.

wankpants · 14/08/2012 08:23

YABU

A grown woman should be able to go up to 7 days without sex and have some respect for her partner's feelings on the matter.

ScumbagCollegeDropout · 14/08/2012 09:06

Stick in a mooncup and indulge in some bumsex.

Bertrude · 14/08/2012 09:15

Never have, never will.

Even if you ignore the mess seriously gipping at the thought I just don't ever feel like it. I always feel weepy, messy, just overall grimness whilst I'm on and would rather be shut away from the entire world and sometimes given my moods I probably should be so why would I let husband go anywhere near me.

Just means I have to be more forthcoming with the blow jobs, which I don't mind because I've been told by a higher number of men than I wish to admit that I'm pretty damn good at it Grin

wankpants · 14/08/2012 09:21

Erm, it doesn't. If you want to, by all means. But you don't have to.

Olympicnmix · 14/08/2012 09:26

In answer to sassh I rarely fancy sex at the start of my period because it's achey and uncomfortable, otoh, I certainly do know when I'm in that fertile 2 week phase.

milkymocha · 14/08/2012 10:01

Oral with you are on?

Iam not normally prudish but, thats disgusting!

AnyFucker · 14/08/2012 10:42

I have never started a period whilst on the job. I get plenty of warning.

WineGoggles · 14/08/2012 11:06

My DP isn't put off when I'm having my period so if we're in the mood we'll have sex. None of my many exes have been bothered either. I just put a dark towel or flannel on the bed to protect the sheets but thankfully my periods are fairly light so it's not a bloodfest anyway. A GUM nurse suggested putting a contraceptive sponge in if need be, and that does a good job at making it less messy, but I don't need that with DP.

bubalou · 14/08/2012 14:14

Grin laughing at all the people that think there's something wrong with women that don't want to go longer than 5-7 days without sex.

We don't have sex whilst I'm on as DH doesn't like the idea but yes - 5 days is a long time for some.

I'm 2 days into my period and already planning what I'm going to do to my husband when it's finished. Heehee

Much love to my fellow horny mummy's Wink

anditwasallyellow · 14/08/2012 14:28

If you are on very light or wearing a tampon even oral isn't a problem. Don't know about you lot but most men don't stick their tongue in where the blood comes out it's much more up top so he's hardly going to get blood anywhere near his mouth. Although obviously it's probably not the best time so most people probably avoid it.

I can't get over how many people are so disgusted that a woman can find a week a long time to go without sex.

cantspel · 14/08/2012 14:28

No to period sex
No to bum sex
and NO to oral during a period from either me or him.

Kayano · 14/08/2012 14:29

Ewwww no way!

BelinaTheChicken · 14/08/2012 14:32

I came on on the morning of my wedding

So yes, in that case, I do have sex on my period Grin

bubalou · 14/08/2012 14:41

Haha.

Why are so many people shocked that some women struggle to go 5 days without sex? That doesn't make us wrong.

I blame my husband for being so hot.

Of course we can wait if we have to but it doesn't mean we want to. I don't do the whole period sex thing and don't expect DH to as I know he wouldn't want to. However he also knows that I'm in no mood to give blow jobs during this time either - it gives us a 5 day break for extra sleep (and me from shaving my legs).

Oral during period - I'm sorry, I'm no prude but blurrrrr. Each to their own.

Wink
FluffyJawsOfDoom · 14/08/2012 14:49

Yep, it's never bothered DH or I who have been together eons. We just put an old towel on the bed and get on with things Blush

anditwasallyellow · 14/08/2012 14:53

Loads of women have a mouthful of semen so why is it so disgusting for a bloke to stick his tongue near to the area why there is blood?

WorraLiberty · 14/08/2012 14:58

It's personal choice anditwasallyellow....for both of those things.

oldraver · 14/08/2012 14:58

Yes it doesnt bother me or OH either way, plus I'm usually super horny

I would always respect a persons right to say no, but would be a bit put out and yes have ditched a casual bloke for not wanting to play

WorraLiberty · 14/08/2012 14:59

I was going to say it's personal 'taste' but thought better of it Grin
