To ask if you have sex when on a period

NoSex · 13/08/2012 19:54

My dh will not have sex with me when i am on a period, I respect that it make him feel grossed out, but I am on for 5-7 days which is IMO a long time with out sex :(

Aibu to think a grown man should not be freaked out by a bit of blood

OP posts:
Inneedofbrandy · 14/08/2012 23:46

In P&C spaces about 2am dincha know?

WorraLiberty · 14/08/2012 23:47

That's short for Penis and Cunt spaces by the way

RubyFakeNails · 14/08/2012 23:50

I knew I always parked in them without kids for a reason Wink

You knw other than pissing off the mummys

anditwasallyellow · 14/08/2012 23:52

Don't piss the mummys off by parking in the p&c spaces when they are on, and horny because their dhs won't give them any

WorraLiberty · 14/08/2012 23:54

Ahh but what if the horny, menstrual mummys who are gagging for sex, park in the P&C spaces at night?

A sort of supermarket dogging if you will?

Inneedofbrandy · 14/08/2012 23:56

Its different from the old car keys in a bowl thing,

RubyFakeNails · 14/08/2012 23:56

You know Yellow that probably explains the time that cunty mental bitch went batshit about it in Waitrose of all places. Although she did fuck the fuck off after seeing my ugly mug face of fury.

Next time I'll just point her in the direction of a massive dildo.

spoonsspoonsspoons · 15/08/2012 07:06

Some people get interstitial cystitis which isn't caused by bacteria. A friend used to suffer at certain times of her cycle

wankpants · 15/08/2012 08:25

Jesus there's no need to be Hmm at a bloke who finds the vaginal discharge during your period gross. It is bloody gross. In the same way shit comes out and it's perfectly natural yet still gross.

To some. Shall we start a thread for people who enjoy shitting on one another and eating it?

dementedma · 15/08/2012 19:35

Really can't believe some people's dhs take out the tampon! Would never ask dh to do that in a million years.

Krumbum · 15/08/2012 19:39

Dementedma. I for one have not asked him to take it out! That'd be awkward. He just did it Wink

Krumbum · 15/08/2012 19:40

Wankpants. Women have discharge all the time though. Are we always gross?

Inneedofbrandy · 15/08/2012 19:41

Back to blood sport LOL

thekidsrule · 15/08/2012 20:18

oh for gods sake im starting to wonder how the world has a large population Grin

going by (yes judgeing) by the horror of some regarding intimate going ons's or not as the case maybe

seriously i do realise that we all dont like the same thing but some are coming across a bit mary whitehouse

this is with a longterm partner that i would of thought you can be open with

TheQueenOfDiamonds · 15/08/2012 23:36

why do people actually think it's disgusting?

Because my periods are really heavy, and it smells weird to me, and looks dirty. The sight of my OH smeared in blood doesn't turn me on. If they were lighter it wouldn't bother me - I was still 'bleeding' when I had sex for the first time after having my son, but it was very light and no more mess than you'd get from discharge/semen anyway. That doesn't happen on my period though, its thick and heavy start to finish.

GimmeIrnBru · 30/10/2012 14:02

We do occasionally have sex when AF is around. Feels lovely, even if it's a bit messy. :)

stretch · 30/10/2012 14:30

I read that as "We do occasionally have sex when Any Fucker is around," Grin

We have sex when I'm on. DH not bothered, like he says, he can wash after.

Ithinkitsjustme · 30/10/2012 14:39

Sorry, haven't read all the posts just the first couple and last couple of pages, but if you find 5-7 days a bit long without sex but DH feels a bit freaked out by the thought why not have sex in the shower together? Just a thought

aldiwhore · 30/10/2012 14:42

If one of you finds it a no-no, then you can't force each other.

If a woman doesn't fancy sex when on her period, then that's her right. If a man doesn't fancy sex when his OH is on her period, then that's his right.

You don't actually have to have a reason not to want sex, but your DH seems to have a valid one.

valiumredhead · 30/10/2012 14:42

Have you ever tried using a sea sponge? That way there's no mess, although I can't related to squeamishness at all as dh doesn't bat an eyelid.

GiserableMitt · 30/10/2012 15:11

Fuck no. As someone who TMI overflows a Mooncup every hour once a month with huge clots has heavy periods, sex is the last thing I feel like clearing up after.

pushitreallgood · 30/10/2012 15:23

yes to period sex bothers no one here. oh was on the job with his fingers one time and it looked a bit like he had stabbed me but a good time was had by all.

CharleeWarlee · 30/10/2012 15:30

I prefer sex when im on my period. My DP doesnt mind at all. We use towels underneath/around etc and its a great excuse to shower together after too :)

WaitingForMe · 30/10/2012 16:14

Yes and DH and I did the first time we had sex. Period started partway through, he looked down and freaked out a little. Mortified doesn't begin to cover my feelings!

As it happens it was one of the best things that could've happened to us. He quietly asked whether I wanted to stop, I quietly said I was happy to continue. It set the scene for a very open and comfortable sex life.

I wonder if there's a link between those of us happy to have sex during our periods and those of us that watch True Blood Wink
