To laugh at people planning outfits for I've hour flights

I've been on longer train journeys natch. No one plans for them.
Us flying STILL really seen as chic ? Do people believe those stupid articles about changing into cashmere track suits apply for an easy jet to Malaga ?

Plus don't get me started on capsule wardrobes.

There is no way a HV would have suggested that IMO, they aren't allowe to suggest anything but boiled tap water and milk until they are at least 17 weeks.

Kayano · 14/08/2012 13:56

Next time you see her?!

I wouldn't be seeing her ever again and registering a complaint Hmm

FunnysInLaJardin · 14/08/2012 13:58

so far I am liking cashmere tracksuit vair evocative of a Vogue 'what to travel to Malaga in' list and Yummymummys list which has to be a spoof

Yummymummyyobe1 · 14/08/2012 13:59

Kayano \she has suggested quite a bit that is ???? by the sound of things. I think she is dishing out old advice perhaps. I want to give her a chance to explain but will have a word with the powers that be.

AbsofAwesomeness · 14/08/2012 13:59

I am never flying without my cashmere pashmina after taking a shortish flight somewhere hot and thinking "meh, how bad can it get?" VERY. I nearly died from exposure. Bastard airlines and their overconditioning.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 14/08/2012 14:01

FunnysInLaJardin not a spoof I'm afraid I like to travel properly (even 1st & business doesn't offer me everything I need) hence I have to take my own items on the list

MadeleineAlright · 14/08/2012 14:01

oh god KEEP IT GOING.

" powers that be"
also loving poster on here who cant even spell the name of her alleged designer shoes

aka matalan special deal

OP posts:
MainlyMaynie · 14/08/2012 14:04

Perhaps it is a special spelling for those who work in education. In an office.

JodieHarsh · 14/08/2012 14:04

Yummy is your DH in the Diplomatic service or something? I know he's got quite a good job (I think you mentioned before). THat would explain how you're able to do away with some of the security regulations on liquids etc (I have some colleagues in the judiciary and when they work with governments overseas I know things are a bit different).

Sorry to be nosy Grin

FunnysInLaJardin · 14/08/2012 14:04

then Yummy take it from me. You are not going to need 6 outfits for the baby and 2 packs of wipes. And you'll never get to read that Vogue

Yummymummyyobe1 · 14/08/2012 14:05

MadeleineAlright keep what going I'm finding you a little childish to say the least. How would you have phrased it?

I have to say I do agree on the spelling of the shoes (louboutin ) although I know a few people who spell it badly and own a few pairs.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 14/08/2012 14:09

JodieHarsh we all like to nose I think Wink (looks out the window for gossip) There are reasons why some of the items on the list are allowed to go through but I'm not allowed to say a lot. It is more to do with my father than my DP though.

FunnysInLaJardin Vouge will be ditched and perhaps 3 changes pack clothes and one pack of wipes.

Bunbaker · 14/08/2012 14:09

"travel candles are must for arrival."

Why? Are you expecting power cuts? Are you sure you are allowed to use naked flames in some of the places you are staying in?

MadeleineAlright · 14/08/2012 14:09

#sniggers

OP posts:
Yummymummyyobe1 · 14/08/2012 14:11

Bunbaker most places are fine with candles to be fair I've never been stopped by anywhere we have stayed. Smile

JodieHarsh · 14/08/2012 14:11

Ah, I see :)

Bunbaker · 14/08/2012 14:14

I always have a packing list when I travel. I pack spare underwear, toothbrushes etc in hand luggage in case of suitcases going missing. I also pack our clothes acrss the three cases on outward bound flights in case some of the cases go missing. At least we will each have some clothes from one of the cases.

Hulababy · 14/08/2012 14:17

My hand luggage is my camera bag. Can only have one piece usually and it doesn;t fit in any of our other bags. So my handluggage is a camera, two lenses, filters...and I try to squeeze in my Kindle (but now left on Jet 2 flight this weekend - boo :( ) spare contact lenses, a brush and my phone.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 14/08/2012 14:18

JodieHarsh I shall say no more on that as I would have to make you sign something. Wink

Bunbaker Like the idea of packing things between the various cases. I might have to borrow that idea. Wink

JodieHarsh · 14/08/2012 14:19

Fair enough. As long as you don't mind my living vicariously through you and imagining your palace massive 3 storied town house in Notting Hill Grin Grin

MadeleineAlright · 14/08/2012 14:20

yes id be careful as you are obviously married to someone impossibly important

Bunbaker · 14/08/2012 14:22

"Bunbaker Like the idea of packing things between the various cases. I might have to borrow that idea."

I nicked that idea from a magazine years ago, so I can't claim to have thought that one up.

Hulababy · 14/08/2012 14:23

www.jomalone.co.uk/products/3562/For-The-Home/Travel-Candles/index.tmpl

There we go a travel candle. I never even knew they existed! It's just a small candle then yes? I don't even remember to light the candles I have at home, so def not likely to hen travelling

Bunbaker · 14/08/2012 14:28

But why the need for candles anyway?

I admit that I don't "get" candles at home either. They make my eyes hurt, I can't see in dim light and they are a fire risk. As far as I'm concerned they are strictly for power cuts.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 14/08/2012 14:30

JodieHarsh of course you can although my life is like everybody elses.

Bunbaker you are very honest I would have taken the credit Wink although the guilt would have been too much in the end.

Hulababy they are a gem, Molton Brown and Crabtree and Evelyn do them also but Jomalone are my favourates.
