To laugh at people planning outfits for I've hour flights

I've been on longer train journeys natch. No one plans for them.
Us flying STILL really seen as chic ? Do people believe those stupid articles about changing into cashmere track suits apply for an easy jet to Malaga ?

Plus don't get me started on capsule wardrobes.

I think tis a bit declasse to feed your kid orange juice at 16 weeks tbh ;)

ScrambledSmegs I love lists but trying to relax a little.

MadeleineAlright Our HV suggested the Orange juice to us as DS has terrible Colic. It is only occassionally and is always freshly made from orgnic oranges at home and boiled mineral water.

CakeMeIAmYours · 14/08/2012 13:36

Well, I used to do this too, including mercilessly mocking those who took spare underwear in their handluggage.

Changed my tune when my bag got lost en route to a fairly remote part of the world and I had to wear DH's underpants for 3 days.

MadeleineAlright · 14/08/2012 13:36

thats still cack.

crap advice

Madeline's right, Yummy - your HV is talking out of her bum. Sorry.

forevergreek · 14/08/2012 13:42

Orange juice doesn't help colic... Only ever heard for bad constipation and then it's a spoonful max a day

Homemade orange juice would never get through security

Yummymummyyobe1 · 14/08/2012 13:43

CakeMeIAmYours I hope your DH had nice underwear as we know what men can be like when left to their own devices.

MadeleineAlright & ScrambledSmegs I will have to question her when I see her later this week . Hmm very Confused & Angrywith her now.

MainlyMaynie · 14/08/2012 13:44

Don't give your baby mineral water FFS.

MadeleineAlright · 14/08/2012 13:44

Im not sure you even have a baby tbh!

Just back from holiday myself. On the plane I work something comfortable. I don;t like things round my waist too much when travelling - regardless of mode of transport. And I like to be able to kick my shoes off too - so I wore a long floaty summer dress, a little cardi in my bag for the UK ends of the trip and flipflops, Comfortable :)

As for the other clothes for on holiday - packed whatever summer clothes I had; no planning whatsoever regarding outfits. Packed shorts, t shirts, dresses, cardi, swimmers and underwear. Then added a couple of pairs of Birks, my fit flops (travlled in) and a pair of gold sandlas so could cress outfits up a little bit if I needed to. That was as far as any outfit planning went!

Yummymummyyobe1 · 14/08/2012 13:44

forevergreek Ohh I'm evven more Confused at HV now. We have yet to fly anywhere with DS. I supose I will have to buy Orange juice somewhere.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 14/08/2012 13:47

MainlyMaynie it is boiled water when we use it and as I say the orange juice is used maybe once a month max.

MadeleineAlright DS was born in April Smile

Hulababy sounds like a comfortable outfit to travel in I will have to try a dress next time.

MainlyMaynie · 14/08/2012 13:49

You said boiled mineral water. This is dangerous. Boiling it is even more dangerous.

Kayano · 14/08/2012 13:51

Mineral water?!

JodieHarsh · 14/08/2012 13:51

If you boil mineral water you will concentrate the minerals/whatever else in it.

I mean. SRSLY. Confused Shock

However I think in this particular case no damage will be done to a real live baby.

Kayano · 14/08/2012 13:52

How do you get boiled mineral water/ orange juice past security anyway?! Considering they took my roll on deodorant off me once

JodieHarsh · 14/08/2012 13:52

Anyway how can you use something 'once a month max' when your child is 16 weeks old? That would surely mean you have only actually done it once unless you started giving the wee creature orange juice at 3 months Confused

MadeleineAlright · 14/08/2012 13:52

loving your work Jh
