Oh I can think of many that are much worse. I quite like Ben, although having had 3 dogs called Ben in the family, it isnt a name I would pick for a child.

fryingpantoface · 12/08/2012 10:30

My brother's name is Benjamin, we call him Ben. So I'd disagree.

We also have a Joshua in our family, we call him Joshy.

Depends on the person surely. If a guy is wetter than a haddock's bathing costume it doesn't matter if he has the most manly name on earth, really. (whatever that may be.)

TenaPenny · 12/08/2012 10:37

hmm fogle is, name still wet

OP posts:
AKissIsNotAContract · 12/08/2012 10:37

I'd saying Sebastian and Gideon were more drippy

0lympia · 12/08/2012 10:37

YABU, it's a normal name. Is this a thread about a thread? Confused I don't get it.

The drippiest wettest name is Martin It's just so banal.

Sparklingbrook · 12/08/2012 10:37

What's a non-wet name then?

TenaPenny · 12/08/2012 10:37

tim, hmm mebbe

OP posts:
TenaPenny · 12/08/2012 10:38

non wet?all the others I suppose. I think the DCP is a good yardstick, if youd call a dog it then DONT

OP posts:
TenaPenny · 12/08/2012 10:38

You couldnt look at a baby and call it martin, could you? Thats just unfair.

OP posts:
sancerreity · 12/08/2012 10:38

there will be lots of people on here sith sons partners brothers fathers called Ben

'did you mean to be so rude?'

TenaPenny · 12/08/2012 10:39

i dont give a shit tbh - if they want to be offended then that is their lifestyle choice, increasingly it seems ;)

LynetteScavo · 12/08/2012 10:40

Ben is a good, solid name.

I've never met a drippy Ben.

DeathByChocolate01 · 12/08/2012 10:40

I love the name Ben - all the Bens I've known have been intelligent, artistic and musical. Tims, on the other hand, are tall, blond and drippy.

TenaPenny · 12/08/2012 10:40

its not is a collection of letters LS ! ;)
You might as well call the kid Nom

OP posts:
TenaPenny · 12/08/2012 10:41

ew i BET your bens had long thin fingers
as kid or a dog yes, not as a mayan. Imagine "Here is our CEO, he is called Ben@"

PHWOAR, not

OP posts:
NameChangeGalore · 12/08/2012 10:42

DD had a Martin in her nursery, and he was a lovely little boy.

Tell us OP, what have you named your children? Let MN decide if they're drippy names.

TenaPenny · 12/08/2012 10:43

oh of course.
