Some more: Kyle, Cade, Mitchell, Wayne, dwane , the list goes on. I will consult my Pick Me Up magazine for some more horrors

TenaPenny · 12/08/2012 12:37

If you look at threads from ahem 2003. People were rather sweet and helpful.

The first thread I read in 2006 was a great big row about people pissing in supermarket carrier bags.

I think the major difference nowadays is that some people just stick round AIBU determined to have a fight, and there was a lot less of the c&p'ing someone else's posts in order to rip it to shreds.

GetOrfMoiRing · 12/08/2012 12:40

lol at the use of the word 'nowadays'

Lizzylou · 12/08/2012 12:41

Well my Benedict is so far from drippy he already has 3 tattoos and a flick knife.
He is 6. We are expecting great things.

TenaPenny · 12/08/2012 12:41

Yes. I think it being smaller made a difference. I love the way you moan about a mate on here and.. Oh hold on. I'll show you

agree with OP, sorry, the worst boy twin names have to be....
'Ben and Jamie'

GetOrfMoiRing · 12/08/2012 12:44

I do like the name Benedict, it reminds me of that rather lovely explorer bloke who treks through Namibia etc.

RuleBritannia · 12/08/2012 12:44

GetOrfMoiRing

What's the matter with the word 'nowadays'?

TenaPenny · 12/08/2012 12:45

Oh my god NEW ENTRY for Jamie
Vg

Was that me darth? I didn't say Dan, I said Danny as the actual name. It's what happens when new Mums just cannot imagine their cute ickle bundle as a hulking great bloke with tattoos, piles and a bald patch.

Back in the day I knew someone called Nicki as the actual name. He was a nice enough bloke though.

BrianCoxIsUpTheDuff · 12/08/2012 12:45

I was going to just hide the thread after reading.

But then I saw GetOrf making a very reasonable contribution.

So, my only comment is "what GetOrf said" (esp the 'nowadays' bit Grin)

TenaPenny · 12/08/2012 12:46

Hey goml. Started a thread to lure someone in

Tristan and Crispin -Bluurgh!

Lizzylou · 12/08/2012 12:47

Benedict Allen, Getorf, me and dh went to an evening with him a few years ago. He is fabulous.
Not even vaguely drippy.

GetOrfMoiRing · 12/08/2012 12:50

That's it! Benedict Allen. I had a wild crush on him when he did that Namibia thing. He was very kind to his camels iirc. I am easily impressed.

Nowadays is an old lady word, it sounds like something an old dear would say when doing her Kriss Kross puzzles.

Reminds me of when a load of American work associates pissed themselves laughing at me when I said 'fortnight'. They don't have that word in america, and thought I sounded all quaint and shakespearian. Bastards.

Junebugjr · 12/08/2012 12:52

Can't stand Ben - but love benedict

But the most awful boys name has to be Finlay/Findlay etc etc. Sounds just so poncy. Jamie is pretty urgh too.

GetOrfMoiRing · 12/08/2012 12:56

Rafferty is up there in the wanky names stakes.

Goldenbear · 12/08/2012 12:58

Yes, these days I come away thinking I hope I don't know any of these heartless, Uncompassionate, judgemental twerps in real life! Also, these days people seem to judge you on every thread if you're being unreasonable even if you're asking whether you should serve macaroni with crab to your children that night on a cookery thread...for example.

bluana · 12/08/2012 12:59

I don't mind Ben at all - quite like it really.

I'd agree with Alan. Was rather surprised my dd called her two headed lion for her Castle of Doom "Alan".

Numberlock · 12/08/2012 13:16

Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan! Dan!

lljkk · 12/08/2012 13:18

Luka. I rest my case.
None of the rest bother me. DSs names are all mentioned here, but I'm sure you lot are just being ironic.

edam · 12/08/2012 13:22

Nathaniel isn't bad but Nathan is horrible. Something about the ay sound combined with soft consonants.

MushroomSoup · 12/08/2012 13:24

Lol @ mary - Ben and Jamie are my exH and DH's names!!

TenaPenny · 12/08/2012 13:24

Yes. Aibu to save someone's life?
