This is just crazy I feel so weak it's just pathetic I can't stand for longer than a few seconds without my legs feeling like they will buckle

DP has sent me an email asking me why I think he works hard like he does. Cheers!

Your DP needs his head sorting out! Glad you've called labour ward. Can you ring your mum for help with the kids?

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 23/07/2012 11:22

Your dp is a dick I'm sorry. U r at home with HIS children and carrying HIS baby what's he gonna do when ur in labour? I'm sure even his boss would be disgusted and his mum y don't u ring his mum to come take the kids?

keepcalmandeatcupcakes · 23/07/2012 11:24

Tell him how does he feel leaving two children unattended for the day and his pregnant wife seriously ill because he can't take one day off unlike his colleges to care for his family? But thats because I would be bloody angry and tell him not to bother returning home tonight!
Is there any family who may be able to come and help you?? Could you give mum or MIL a ring?

GnocchiNineDoors · 23/07/2012 11:24

Maybe yur DH needs to read this thread.

It's all well and good bringing in money to pay the bills but it takes more than that to be a good ftaher and a good husband.

worriedwretch · 23/07/2012 12:29

Wouldn't phone MIL if life depended on it.

Am now at my mums. I really shouldn't have driven.

She's cooking the DC lunch.

I'm flopped on sofa.

Have spoken to my SIL who is a MW she says sounds like I have a kidney infection

OP posts:
Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 23/07/2012 12:33

Have u got an appointment with gp to get the antibiotics?

worriedwretch · 23/07/2012 12:41

No because when I spoke to the GP on the phone - (I could only get a phone appt) he said sounds like a virus and to rest drink fluid and take paracetamol

When I asked him about the lower back pain he said it was due to being pregnant and totally Normal. This doesn't feel normal.

OP posts:
OneOfMyTurnsComingOn · 23/07/2012 12:48

Sounds like you could do with a home visit.

lab001 · 23/07/2012 12:49

Glad you are at your mums but I think you need to see a doctor/miswife too.
I have every sympthay. My dh is the same although fortunately I have never been that poorly.

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 23/07/2012 12:51

Get in a taxi to a & e ! You can't risk this and a dr can't diagnose u over the phone and shouldn't be risking saying that without any examination or dipping urine!!! Irresponsible. Please go get checked!!!

TheVermiciousKnid · 23/07/2012 14:00

I agree - get it checked out as soon as possible. Yes, lower back pain is common in pregnancy, but this sounds different.

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 23/07/2012 15:52

Did u go?

worriedwretch · 23/07/2012 16:10

I can't yet. The hospital is an hour drive away
I can't drive myself feeling like this. My mum doesn't drive. Will wait for DP to get home & tell him to take me

The labour ward didn't phone back so when I get home
I will call them again and ask if I can
Come in
When
I phones them they said how busy they were earlier

I've drunk 3
Pints of water since been at mums and can't wee
That's Not right is it?

OP posts:
Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 23/07/2012 16:14

No it'd not and u need to get checked ASAP!!!! Could well be a kidney infection and as ur pregnant ur immune system is reduced and u could get septic pretty quickly can u not call ur dps work and "leave a msg with his boss that u need to go to hospital" u need to go now!

ClaimedByMe · 23/07/2012 16:15

Thats not right, you need to be seen NOW, either get thee to the maternity ward or call back GP and ask to speak to someone you sound like you need medication quickly!

Rubirosa · 23/07/2012 16:17

Oh for goodness sake woman! You need to take some responsibility here - get yourself some medical attention. Call your DP home from work, call the labour ward again, get a taxi to a walk-in centre - do something!

Rosa · 23/07/2012 16:17

Worried sounds as if you need it checked out agree it could be an infection can you call your MW or the mat unit at the hosp?

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 23/07/2012 16:17

Go now and u might get sent home with oral AB leave it any longer and u will have to be admitted with IV. Surely he is better missing a couple of hours now than loosing two days in hospital. Please, cry make out ur in horrendous pain on the phone just get him home :(

5dcsinneedofacleaner · 23/07/2012 16:18

I would call the labour ward back. you are in late pregnancy it could be flu or whatever it could also be any number of serious problems. You say you cant wee even though you have been drinking. This happened to me when i had severe pre eclampsia - you also have a head ache.
Call them now dont faff around say
I am 36 weeks, I have a severe headache, feel rotten and cant wee - I am sure if you put it in those terms they will want to see you straight away.

I really think that the people around you and also you (without sounding too harsh) are being far too casual about your health..

worriedwretch · 23/07/2012 16:20

Sorry I'm not meaning to be casual I'm luckily just not normally poorly ever

I'm still meant to be working too :(

OP posts:
TheVermiciousKnid · 23/07/2012 16:26

Please get medical attention now, get a taxi if necessary. It doesn't have to be the labour ward - is there a walk-in centre or similar closer to you?

Lambzig · 23/07/2012 16:27

Please don't be a martyr. Would you let one of your children be in this much pain and so ill without doing anything about it? Of course you wouldn't. This could have have an impact on your newest child, your baby. Please go to A&E.

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 23/07/2012 16:29

You really really need to go now. It's already been mentioned about pre eclampsia and the infection could be masking signs! U need a full work up and Also to check that the pain isn't causing contractions, again u might not be noticing them with everything else you are feeling. For your babies sake please go you would never forgive yourself if something happened just cos you were worried about your dps attitude for making him leave work :(

lisaro · 23/07/2012 16:30

Don't panic about the hog roast. I got I'll like that when I got tonsillitis twice and when I got very bad flu. The lower backache you mention sounds the same. Ring the midwife and get the doc out. You may need painkillers from him.
