Didn't come home

My partner went to the pub yesterday afternoon and as yet is still not home. His phone has been off since around 11pm. Am I being unreasonable to think this is a complete disregard for me and be absolutely livid?

OP I hope you and your DP are both ok, I couldn't just lurk, I've had this once (only fro a few hours though) and was beside myself with worry, then livid when he got home.

All the best.

futureunknown · 22/07/2012 14:45

Hope he's back OP and in one piece.

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 22/07/2012 14:54

Hope you are ok OP and out doing something for yourself as suggested.

Ruprekt · 22/07/2012 14:59

PrettyPrinceofParties · 22/07/2012 15:25

AuntieMaggie · 22/07/2012 15:40

GnocchiNineDoors · 22/07/2012 15:43

Just found this thread and am hoping your OH has returned safe and sound with his tail between his legs.

snowinginjuly · 22/07/2012 15:44

A close family member once popped to asda - was gone for a week. He'd had a nervous breakdown and was found sleeping in his car in the far north of Scotland.

yes i know someone who did exactly the same thing - but wasnt in scotland - just went off on his motorbike and kept going :(

ClaireFromWork · 22/07/2012 15:47

YABU. WTF is he playing at?

Haemadoots · 22/07/2012 15:48

PunkChick · 22/07/2012 15:57

CinnamonSal · 22/07/2012 16:33

Hello all - such a response from all of you. Thanks for the goodwill. The bastard phoned me as I was making my way round to his mums house. He had run out of battery on his phone, he had came home and saw the car not there (I had drive past the pub route just in case) and went to stay with his mum. Not ok at all. Lots of apologies from him. I am very, very, very sad about the whole situation and worried for the future. I was past any anger I had really thought something must have happened to him by then. Exhausted with it all. Thankfully I didn't waste police time but only that of a lovely bunch of mnetters.

so glad he is home! I hope he can make it up to you and never does it again!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 22/07/2012 16:36

Beyond inconsiderate (sorry stupid phone).

Can't believe neither he or his mum thought you would be worried. Glad he is ok though.

RuleBritannia · 22/07/2012 16:37

Hasn't his mother a landline or mobile that he could have used to ring you?

kinkyfuckery · 22/07/2012 16:37

Glad he is safe and home. What was his excuse?

CinnamonSal · 22/07/2012 16:38

His mum does not have a considerate bone in her body she would never have thought to let me know.

OP posts:
kinkyfuckery · 22/07/2012 16:39

Sorry I read that as you went to stay with his mum, not that he did!

Why the fuck didn't he get back to you before 4pm??? He could have phoned! He could have come home first thing!

Why on earth would he just bail somewhere else if he saw the car missing last night? You could have been in hospital or something for all he knew!!

kinkyfuckery · 22/07/2012 16:39

Don't you DARE try and blame this on his mum - this is HIS arsey behaviour, not hers!

GhostShip · 22/07/2012 16:40

He's a fucking idiot.

So if he only went round his mums when he noticed the car wasn't there, where was he before that? Did he not contemplate how worried you would be?

OP please make him aware that this is the last time he can do this. Once they do it once itll happen at intervals.

GhostShip · 22/07/2012 16:40

Kinky fuckery - calm down Confused she only said his mum isn't considerate.

CinnamonSal · 22/07/2012 16:41

No landline and no doubt no credit in her phone she is a disaster zone. He got a charger from her neighbour today not until 2.30 I hasten to add.

HildaOgden · 22/07/2012 16:41

Wasn't he worried about you when he noticed your car was missing????
